hotstuff | Have been here numerous times.Friendly, attentive staff including the bartenders.Beers are hit and miss, food is good, noisy bar on the weekends during football and basketball season so if you’re wanting a quieter atmosphere here, sit in the dining room. This is a must stop for me every time I am in downtown Indy to see what, if any, new beers they have to rate since my last visit.

SpudClampDawg | I went into the Ram on a recent Friday night. Since I was alone, I headed straight to the bar, which had ample seating. The bar snakes throughout the entire bar room, offering lots of seating. Smaller tables are sprinkled throughout and there is another side with family dining. The Ram has 8-9 of their own beers on tap. A few other offerings (BMC) are available in can. I tried to the sampler and was pleasantly surprised. Every one (which ranged from Kolsch to Imperial Stout and everything in between) was very well made. The brewmaster even stopped by and we chatted a bit. The staff was excellent and the chicken fajitas were great as well. Overall a very solid brewpub.

StFun | Perfectly passable in every category, but nothing too special. Typical large restaurant/bar, average service, slightly higher prices, fine but forgettable food. They do get points, however, for the beer. Very loud and crowded on the weekends, and downtown parking is always a PITA. Nothing out of this world, but a few good offerings, and best yet, they have specials. They sell growlers for (I believe) $7, and have a special where you can sample 7 of their beers for about $5. I go about once every 3-4 years, and that is just fine with me.

chicagodri | Large restaurant downtown. Lots of seating so we didn’t have to wait long. Service was average. I thought the beers were average, nothing special. I prefer Rock Bottom over this place any day of the week. I though the food was okay, I had fish & chips (Rock Bottom’s are better) and the two women I was with though their food was only passable. I have been to much better places.

a10555 | Great Beer selection and good food.
Have visited each time I go to Indy, and frequented the Ram in Salem, Oregon almost weekly. The beer here does not disappoint, and the food is very good. Not just pub grub.
Always try their seasonal brew as it doesn’t get any fresher, and they make great quality beers.

Ibrew2or3 | Big place in downtown Indy across the street from St. Elmo’s Steak House ($$$$). The bar area has a good two dozen tables, another dozen or so booths and lots of seating at the expansive bar. The bar stools (sort of tall cushioned seats) are comfy and there are several flat panel displays going on and one embarrassingly small quarter pool table. I was told they brew on the premises. They serve up six standard brews and a couple of seasonals in 2oz tasters, 18oz huge tumblers and big ole 24oz mugs just ice cold. Way too cold and difficult to taste or smell. Maybe it’s because the serving sizes are huge. Food was pretty tasty but nothing to go out of your way for. The one 18oz beer I had was a decent quaff.

Aurelius | Roomy, in the arts district. Clean. Just stopped by for a couple of pints and didn’’t eat. Nice thing for the beer rater is that it’s right across from another mediocre brewpub - Alcatraz. Pleasant waitstaff, again with implants, largely (no pun intended.) Hard to see the economy in using tips to buy bosoms to make tips. Clean, roomy, mediocre beer - better than the only other Ram that I’ve been to in Dallas.

xproudfoot | Decen place, excellent service. Food a little disgusting (kettle potato chips with topping onthem is an appetizer?), everything has tons of meat and makes you feel like a salted ham for eating it. A few good beers makes it an all right trip if your in town. Big place with typical brewpub decor, feels like the chain it is. cheezy t shirts etc. a slice of american life today, sadly.

NachlamSie | This is an enormous sports bar which evidently constantly serves vast crowds of people. Despite they gigantic bar and huge amount of tables, there was a line out the door and standing room only at the bar. My experience was on a Wednesday night with nothing special happening that I could discern. However, despite the huge demand, I received quite rapid service and was most impressed with the efficiency. They seemed to only be offering standard "safe" beers, but it was in the middle of the summer and they had enough of a selection to appeal to pretty much any reasonable beer taste. I would’ve had a better time had I not been packed into the place like sardines in a can and subject to loud, drunken yelling from all angles. That being said, I definitely did not have a bad time, and sometimes I may even be in the mood to hit a place so lively with activity.

atpayne | Standard chain brewpub. Nice looking resturant section to the left and decent size bar area to the right with large screens and decorations from area attractions and sports teams in an attempt to identify with the city. Decent food, but nothing out of the ordinary so they don’t offend, but also don’t impress. Standard American resturant food and standard chain brewpub brews. Several lighter beers brewed for the macro lovers and they do generally have some bigger beers for geeks.
