September 15, 2009 I grew up a quarter mile away from this place, and though I’ve always loved their pizza (I still say it’s some of the best pizza I’ve ever had), I never realized I was living so close to one of the best brewpubs in the Midwest, possibly the nation until I moved away and came back to visit. Yes, the New Albanian Pizzeria is smoky and a little divey (not that I think there’s anything wrong with that). The next door New Albanian Public House (formerly Rich ’O’s) has a very cozy atmosphere, is smoke free, and has the same great pizza and beer selection as the pizzeria. Great selection of American craft beers and imports, but try their home brews. Hoptimus Prime is one of the best double IPA’s I’ve ever had and stands right up next to some the top rated double IPA’s in the world. Overall a great place. I always look forward to going there (and do so as often as I can) when I visit my hometown of New Albany, IN |

July 27, 2009 The place is kind of run down and dirty. Lots of house brewed and guest taps. Service was good. Pizza was real good. Pretty damn smokey. |

July 4, 2009 Excellent selection of beers in addition to their own beers. Pizzas are amazing. Atmosphere is great, but is negatively impacted by smoking. The cozy lounge area in the Public House area is really nice. Two leather couches really promote conversations with locals and friends. Their beers are getting better, but more quality control is needed. Overall, a great place to go have a beer. |

April 9, 2009 Small dingyish joint, with old wooden diner type booths and a few high top tables. Only had one of their own brews on tap when I visited. Lots of good guest bottle and draught options. Pizza was decent, prices okay.
Service was good and friendly. |

February 21, 2009 Bigger room than Rich O’s, more of a sports bar style with plenty of TV’s and such. Smoking is a negative for me. Service is good and always knowledgeable. Selection is outstanding, but not huge. Sergio’s in Shelbyville has this place beat as far as selection, though it’s hard to beat St. Bernardus on tap. Food is always good and very affordable. Beer prices are very fair as well, considering what you are getting. A regional, and perhaps national treasure. |

September 29, 2008 I’d like to begin by saying that I work here but I work here because I thought it was a great play when I was a patron. NABC actually has 36 draft taps, 10 of which are usually house beers. a bottled beer list with over 200 selections. There are also other bottles that haven’t been updated into the list. Foods great, staffs great, and no more 2 hour waits on the weekends with the new non smoking seating area. |

June 5, 2008 Best pizza and beer combo I’ve ever had. They have a sampler platter of beers that serves as a great introduction. Upside-down pizza is the best! Great selection of draft beers. The red room adds a little spice to the decor. Growlers are another good benefit. |

April 11, 2008 [ Updated May 9, 2008 ] Wonderful place. Excellent food at Rich-Os, wonderful service, and top-notch beers. The only downside is the drive over there and the smoking section that seems to seep into the non-smoking areas. |

March 4, 2008 Easy to find location one block off Grant Line Road (111). Lot parking. Building is clean and orderly with brewing in the back right behind glass. Bar on front right and seating for food on the left front and in the back. Servers area has taps in the middle. Staff is freindly with good beer knowledge. Menu is apps and pizza selections. Gravity Head selections are first class and resident and guest selection is good all the time. Good location and well worth the stop. |

July 31, 2007 This place is amazing. Their beers range from mediocre to excellent, but they have extensive other options. We even got a bottle of Jadwiga here. They also have the best bread sticks I have ever had. I always pay a visit when I’m anywhere in the area. |
