RateBeer Brew Tour Guide's Comments
A cozy atmosphere where one can quietly enjoy his/her thoughts over a diverse selection of craft beer, including beers hardly ever seen on draft in this country. Last updated 1/25/05

Homeroaster (2), does not count - explanation | | September 13, 2008 I’ve been to a lot of pubs, and this one rates up there with the best. The creative beer list of ’regulars’, and the indescribable ’guest’ list, along with beer events like Gravity Head, Saturnalia, Lupulin Hop Festival, and others makes this a unique place in the spectrum of pubs. | | 502Flavors (29), Louisville, Kentucky | | May 29, 2008 Sweet place with one of the most impressive beer bar beer lists I have ever seen (around 225 bottles and probably about 50 taps, probably more). Every style of beer is well represented. Prices are a bit steep on some bottles, but not wholly unreasonable for a bar (as opposed to a liquor store, for example). I haven’t had the food yet, but I hear great things. This place is definitely worth a stop if in the area, and the people know their beer for the most part. | | clingman71 (10), Centerville, Ohio | | April 20, 2008 Pretty solid draft list. I tried one New Albanian brew, which was OK, but had a wonderful glass of Dark Horse Double Crooked Tree IPA. While my girlfriend’s pizza was average, my calzone was very good. The service was solid and quick | troispistoles (2), Louisville, Kentucky does not count - explanation | | April 12, 2008 It’s an ultimate beer snob adventure with pizza mixed in... one of my favorite retreats. | sribenboim (2), Shelbyville, Kentucky does not count - explanation | | March 30, 2008 By far the most eclectic beer list in Indiana. The rotating draft list is formidable in variety of styles and quality. How can anyone be displeased? The food is very good and inexpensive, but the service is often unmotivated, uninformed and indifferent. | Cush (8), does not count - explanation | | January 9, 2008 Visited multiple times in December ’07 while on a business trip. Pros: As mentioned, great selection of bottles, unique draft offerings, really tasty pizzas, amazing home made beer cheese. Cons: Very popular = crowded, cleanliness, experienced one server with a unique attitude, pricey. All in all would definitely recommend to anyone heading to the Louisville area. Quite enjoyable. | BeerSophist (2), Louisville, Kentucky does not count - explanation | | August 29, 2007 My friends and I have made it a Friday tradition to head to Rich O’s. Their own NABC brews are excellent, and despite having visited over 12 times, I still have an easy time finding a new beer to try on draught. The food is cheap (letting me splurge on the drink) and it also tastes great (I highly recommend the garlic cheese bread and the beer cheese). I’m proud to have a place like this in my area. | | tronraner (86), Maryville, Tennessee | | July 31, 2007 On the other side of the kitchen from New Albanian Brewing company. This place is extremely cool. It is divided into themed rooms, all of which are quite comfortable. I prefer the communist room when available. Always something cool on draught, and an interesting selection of bottles. They mark up the macros, too. I love this place. | bb1000 (1), Kentucky does not count - explanation | | July 26, 2007 pizza was great and loved the beer selection | Sambo40 (2), Shelbyville, Kentucky does not count - explanation | | July 25, 2007 Rich O’s Beer list is considered a National Treasure!! | View Page : 1 2 3 4
