RateBeer Brew Tour Guide's Comments
This Irish Public House also has Scottish accents, food, and ale. There are reading materials, games, and even easy chairs by a fireplace. Irish/Scottish menu of pub grub and full meals cater to an adult crowd but all ages are welcome.

| frankenkitty (93), Oak Lawn, Illinois | | October 12, 2008 The ambiance of this place was the best thing about it with a quaint, pub-like feel. Mis-matched furnishings, comfy chairs in front of a fireplace, Irish decor as far as the eye could see. The downfall was that it was packed to the gills with college kids, and it wasn’t even a game weekend. We sat on the patio and alerted an inside server of our presence, but were neglected for 15 minutes and finally pushed through to the bar to get our drinks. $5 pints were not overly expensive, but I wouldn’t call it a value. We finally were able to grab a table (seat yourself!) and kept getting bumped into since the aisles were so narrow. Hop Devil on draught was a pleasant surprise, as well as Chimay. Otherwise the selection was rather common. Since there are few beer bars in the area, it may be worth it for you to stop here for a pint, but I was a little disappointed. | ratmonkey (5), Goshen, Indiana does not count - explanation | | August 13, 2008 The beers are great. They have the gold standard for Guinness and it’s the best in Northern Indiana. The atmosphere is great! And the food is equally good. I’ve met some interesting people there -) | | tjthresh (48), Greenfield, Indiana | | July 3, 2006 Pretty cool place. The best Two Hearted I’ve ever had. Worth a stop. | | BBB63 (92), La Porte , Indiana | | January 14, 2006 Mostly common import taps but does have Bells Two Hearted as well as the new Nine G beer. The feel is quite old world pub like. Not a bad place to enjoy a few session beers. |
