When you first walk in it looks like any other sports bar in any Old Chicago. When I visited back a year ago they had good amount of micro-brews from around the US and a few good imports along with the regular selection of microbrews in IA. I saw they had Wahrsteiner Dunkel Weiss and asked if they had a hefeweizen glass, but they didn’t even have pint glasses, just weird mugs that were frosted, so I didn’t have any beer. I ordered a salad andthe food was pretty good. I tried this place again when moving here and they tried to serve the Blackjack Porter in the bottle and it was a big deal to ask for a glass. The beer wasn’t great, I had a bottle from the same batch at home and it was better, I just needed a place close to where I was staying temporarily to have a beer after work and they let me down big time so I haven’t been back.

Typical Old Chicago. Decent decor, pretty good food. It’s not really Chicago style pizza in the true sense, but it’s not horrible and the rest of their food is decent. Beer selection is mostly macro junk you can get anywhere, but they tend to have 5-6 micro taps. On this visit I had a Summit Great Northern Porter and a Flying Dog Scottish Porter. They also had four Stevens Point Brewery offerings (Pale, Amber, Honey Light, and White). If you would rather sample draft beer than bottle its worth a stop now and again.
