| barleyPops (54), Quad-Cities, Illinois | | June 18, 2005 Quite a bit smaller than the Moline, IL location. Parking can be a problem depending on the time of day, there is a small area in back, otherwise it’s on-street. Food and beer fare is virtually the same as Moline. If you are looking for authentic German food, delcious sandwiches, and the largest selection of German beer on tap in the Quad-Cities, this is the place. | | igneous1 (26), Davenport, Iowa | | April 25, 2005 [ Updated August 3, 2005 ] This Stube has quite a bit more a central European aura about it. I’m no expert on German food by any stretch, but the selections here seem to be at least moderately well to pretty authentic. Beer selection is nice....just an overall nice place. | | JMerritt (44), Macomb, Illinois | | August 23, 2004 My new favorite place to eat and drink in Davenport. I was there for lunch. They have a great German menu, complete with many types of sausages, potato pancakes, saurkraut, cole slaw, etc. Food was delicious. Beer menu was very impressive. Nearly 50 different beers available, 90% of which were German offerings. They had a large selection of German hefes on draught when I was there (Late Aug, 2004). A nice little place. |
