5 reviews for The Bierhaus
| Braudog (476), Dayton, Ohio | | September 19, 2009 September 2009 - Probably my favorite beer destination on this trip to Ireland, Bierhaus sports a solid beer selection for any location, but especially for Ireland, the best I saw in the country, with a great mix of Irish craft beers (some of which I found nowhere else), British, German, other European and even a smattering of American craft beers. Nice mellow crowd, even guys Wii-bowling in the corner. | | mabel (134), Toronto, Ontario | | August 21, 2009 Visited on a Wednesday afternoon in May, we sat in the corner by the windows and watched a game of football with the locals, listening to some mellow music and sipping our bottles of Northern Ireland brews. Friendly and helpful staff, they suggested we bring in a pizza from next door as they don’t do food (which was tasty if a little cold). Beer selection was great, especially for Irish beers, and in pretty good shape. Good place to go if you’re in town. | | jerc (141), Toronto, Ontario | | May 25, 2009 Cozy bar, we sat on a comfortable couch by the window. No food, but the bartender said we could bring in pizza from a few doors down. (Pre-made slices were pretty good, I expect a fresh one is likely even better.) Tap list was a bit heavy on European lagers, but had an okay selection of other stuff as well we opted to go through three Whitecastle bottles from Northern Ireland instead. Bottles from the UK, Belgium and elsewhere. The now de rigour Munster Rugby flag on the wall, the poster of Statler and Waldorf, and the Wiimotes charging on the back wall all add some interesting character. Nice place. | mayordenis (3), , does not count - explanation | | May 21, 2009 Lovely Little bar - Absolute gem for a quite beer during the day and can get very lively at night - Very Central Good range on tap, Great range of bottles. | mbc (4), Leicester, England does not count - explanation | | October 10, 2007 Quayside bar specialising in world beers and beers from Irish micros. Best selection I came across in Ireland. Beers included Galway Hooker and Cork’s Franciscan Well Rebel Red. Imported beers include Scheider Weiss. |
