I visited here in October of 2006. We took a tour of Ireland, and we actually went here on our own. It was a must visit for us and this was BEFORE I learned of Ratebeer. I found this place fascinating. I had a total blast and referred to it often as one of the highlights of my trip. I loved the self guided tour becuause I prefer to do things on my own. I thought the price was reasonable for a tourist attration. I loved playing in the barley! I loved my silly little certificate I got for being an apprentice brewer, and you can not beat the view from the Gravity Bar. LOVELY. It was crowded for sure. I enjoyed buying souvenirs in the store, and the prices were really quite reasonable compared to the overall trip. I would definitely come here again next time I visit this lovely city.

Touristic and medium tour, nice view from the gravity bar, but the draught Guinness was the best of it all. Nothing really special, but since your in Dublin ...

I’ll start this off by saying I think viewed this tour from a completely different place than the other raters. Was it expensive? A bit, I think I got in for 11 euros after I used my student discount. Was it self guided? Yes, it is, but there are a lot of videos and interactive displays. Is it cheesy at spots? A bit, especially the whole Storehouse to brewhouse, come in... For the uninitiated the tour is a great explanation of everything that goes into brewing and shows the industrialization of the brewing process over time. The free pint at the top of the Gravity Bar makes for some great photo ops. If you go in expecting a top flight beer experience you might get disappointed. If you go in expecting a fun, interactive and informative museum like experience you will not be let down.

I took the tour years ago, and even though I love Guinness it was far too expensive. The Gravity Bar was cool the 360 view of Dublin is nice (but expect to see clouds half the time). The pint was nice, but not worth it. But what do you expect at such a tourist trap.

14 euro’s for the self guided tour is an outrage, but I paid anyway cause when am i gonna be in ireland again? You did get a free pint at the end, and the gravity bar with a good view of the city is reallly awesome. Oh yeah and fresh guinness is so good! there also is a bar on the 5th floor with a good selection of brews and you can eat there allthough i think it is expensive.

The tour is interesting enough, though i enjoyed it bettter before it had been done up. Interesting to see the History of Such an iconic brewery. Of special interest to me was the Tin Plate advertising history. The down side was that the Beer was terrible. I dont mean Guinness is terible just the beer they served. One of the worst pints of Guinness ive ever had.

This does not merit an inclusion on this site. Interesting hisorical display and impressive size of it all, but it’s all devoted to one type of beer that has lost all its magic.

I’ve been on plenty of tours and this is one of the better ones. They did a good job of explaining how beer is made and giving history on the brewery itself. The ’free’ Guinness isn’t exactly the selling point, but the Gravity Bar has the best view of the city. Definitely worth it.

Something of a rigid schedule to get to the bar. However, the information is interesting, and the process is complicated enough to be entertaining. The Guinness you could get anywhere nearby, but the view is unique. It is worth the money to have the experience.

It felt more like a beer museum. I loved all the old Guinness ads and posters, and the different beverages for sale around the world. Self guided tour which we kind of breezed through. Like everyone else mentioned the best part is the end where you get a primo view of Dublin and a free Guinness. They even have a few other flavors (such as currant) that they can squirt in your beer if you are not such a fan. The gift shop is big and has tons of stuff.
