| PhilL (15), , England | | October 13, 2008 Great beer, good food, and not a million miles from the Parents. Whoo hoo. too many years I have suffered shit beer in Italy, and finally I can drink and eat - some, if not the best beers made in Italy. And, the parents like the food. The service, can be a little, airy fairy, but that’s all part of the package. Love the place. Fresh TipoPIls, yummy. | | Scauca (17), Lovere, Italy | | July 15, 2008 In a little village between Milan and Varese, one of the best, if not the best, micros in Italy, and certainly one of the firsts. Turnover of their cratfed beers, worldwide renowned and appreciated, beautiful setting, very nice and well done food. | | rickgordon (30), Göteborg, Sweden | | November 25, 2007 A wonderful brewpub, that might be a bit hard to get to, but it’s well worth the effort. Good beer line and top notch food. Superb service. | daniele (3), , Italy does not count - explanation | | August 9, 2007 locale carino buona accoglienza disponobilità di tavoli all’aperto | | Rastacouere (415), Montréal, Quebec | | August 1, 2007 An absolutely charming brewpub in this most unexpected location that is impossible to get to. The bock and pils are absolute world-class examples, 4.5+ to me and this alone makes it worth the visit. Just a classy operation all around, they have had nicely designed glasses for each of their beers. I am craving another evening there. Oh and they experiment and offer lots of beers at once. The place is also bigger than I thought, they have a few tables outside and quite a few indeed in the interior which is split into 2 sections. A must. | | CamdenD (12), Madrid, Spain | | July 24, 2006 Very nice "American" style brewpub in between Como and Milano. Fantastic small-town location overlooking a roundabout with a nice outdoor seating area. Food is excellent and far beyond anything most "pub" places can produce. Beer selection is obviously all BI products, which are quite quite nice, try the Tipopils and BI-Bock for incredible examples of Italian brewing. HIGHLY recommended, about 25 minutes from Milano Nord and even less from Lake Como. | gbrandal (4), , Italy does not count - explanation | | July 12, 2005 They have a LOTS of sesonal beer, so you must be lucky to go there in the right days. The brewer is one of the most expert in Italy. the food is unusual and very tasty. They are very kind. The location is not so good (on the rood) but it’s not a problem! | | omhper (106), Stockholm, Sweden | | April 9, 2005 Lovely location and superb beer. This is one of the best brewpubs I have visited. | | fiulijn (186), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy | | April 2, 2005 [ Updated February 7, 2008 ] Undoubtly the best brewery in Italy! Around 2004-2005 I had the impression that the quality was lowering, but as I go there any time I go back at home, I’m happy to see that the beers are better than ever, with their Tipopils and Bibock being on top of my appreciation, in their respective styles. The beers are brewed in a very professional way, and it’s one of the few brewpubs to extensively use the low fermentation. They always propose an interesting list of original food and starters, they are both original and excellent, check on the blackboard. They brew many beers, usually 4 of them are available on tap, on their website there is a calendar. Two beers used to be available in the bottle: Cassissona and Amber Shock, plus a special release for Christmas. You can also buy 1 litre bottles of the draught beers, but the beer is extremely delicate and won’t taste as at the brewpub, you should store them in the fridge and drink in within a couple of days! Great place! |
