This restaurant/cafe Hibiya Saroh is located inside of Hibiya park (West of the Yurakucho JR Station) here in the middle of Tokyo. This park has also been the home of the yearly Oktoberfest that is interestingly held around the middle of May or June each year. But if you missed Oktoberfest then this restaurant is a nice place to go as they have a big patio where you can sit outside and drink some draft German beers and eat some decent food. It’s very busy around lunch time so they have a sign out front that asks nicely not to go in if you only want to drink and to please came back later around 2pm. They say that are sometimes open till 7pm at night or even 9pm but seems like it’s not very consistent. Also they are closed on rainy days and certain holidays / events (as you can also rent the place out) so check their website before going. BRBR On tap specials at the moment is some White Premium beer called Shirohonoka made by Sapporo and Ebisu Kohaku. The regulars on tap are usually Erdinger Weissbier (Hefe-Weizen), Bitburger, Hoegarden, Guinness, Sapporo, Orion and Ebisu. They have some bottles too (Grolsch and Singha to name the few) but what’s the point of drinking a bottled beer here when you can just bring your own beer and walk around this nice park (or even around anywhere in Japan) as no one will ever bother you for drinking in public here. The park pond near by the restaurant is a nice place to relax by after as it’s very old and seems to be humorously over ran with many turtles and fish.brbr Hibiya Saroh is not quite the Oktoberfest but it ’s a nice place to take an afternoon break if you need to quickly escape from the noisy city or from being tired of touring the town or from walking all around the Emperors palace that is just across the street.
