| KyotoLefty (83), Kyoto, Japan | | July 24, 2008 Nice atmosphere, on a canal in Tokyo. Lots of fancily-dressed rich Tokyo ladies out for a relaxing and pricey lunch. Food nice but overpriced. Beers not worth making the trip for. They are reasonable but nothing you want to drink more than a taster-full of. | | Capa (60), Yokosuka, Japan | | May 31, 2008 Very modern feel to the interior with plenty of exposed architecture. Classy dress and I thought I was going to be turned away for wearing jeans and a polo shirt but they let me in anyway. Quick, attentive service. I was a bit disappointed that I couldn’t sit at the bar for lunch, but the dinning room wasn’t bad, actually. Excellent food. I had a prosciutto and tomato sandwich which paired nice with their beers. I had the beer sampler that consisted of three beers with two servings of the amber. I really enjoyed this place but sadly the beer was the one downer as they were a bit dull and boring. O, well. I’ll come back but more for the food and not the beer (I’ll also dress a bunch nicer, ha). | | Marc (13), Yokosuka, Japan | | March 18, 2007 Interesting blend of brewpub and restaurant. Very chic and modern with a contemporary menu. Was very impressed with the food (with the notable exception of the sashimi) and the beer was decent.
The wait staff was not incredibly knowledgeable about the beer its self but made up for it in attentiveness and the fact that they all spoke decent English.
Pricing/food quality/portion size was decent with most entre’s coming in around 2000 yen and appetizers at 900-1600.
If in the area definitely check this place out. | IslandHaole (5), Onna-Son, Okinawa-Ken, Japan does not count - explanation | | November 6, 2005 Tim, Chad and I visited this place on a sunny afternoon to kick off RB-JAG. A beautiful day and an equally impressive facility. Beers were pretty good, their IPA was very good! The food was delicious too. I had the Chicken/Goat Cheese/Tomato quesadillas, Tim had the Jambalaya and Chad a Pita Sandwich. We all enjoyed the meals. This and Popeye’s are the places to visit when you go to Tokyo | orimo (2), tokyo, Japan does not count - explanation | | October 11, 2005 I do love this place!
their beer’s absolutely nice.
and, I think dishes are so good too.
but little expensive. | | TimE (105), Tokyo, Japan | | October 11, 2005 Definetely one of the nicest beer drinking places on this planet. Located in a warehouse district on a lone street that is house in a beautiful modern building with an huge deck that floats on top of the water to relax and enjoy your beers. Infection has been a problem with them for a few years. At least the beer is consistant.... consistantly hit or miss. Sampler is a good place to start. Cask is avialable. Reservations are essential. We stopped by there on a recent Monday night and had to sit at the back room at the bar as the resturant and patio were full. David Chiddo is connected to this place and he has one of the best reps as a chef in town. Food is second to none (and you pay second to none prices too!).
