Preston is a place I’m not at all familiar with pub wise so it was good to stop off here on the way back from a beer festival in the Lake District. It looks more like a social club or student rock venue but there are some good beers on normally.

The landlady from the New Brit, formerly the best pub in Preston, has set up this strange place in an old club out of the city centre to the North. It’s unusual but very good with six beers on, most of them rare or new, with the possibility of cellar runs too. Runs beer festivals which have loads of lovely scoops on sale.
