Prepare to be transported back to the 1840’s, since this bar is part of the famous Antoine’s restaurant that is the oldest continuously operating eatery in the entire country. They more than make up for the lack of a great beer selection, by carrying a few quality offerings and by having very knowledgeable servers that can educate you on a range of items from beer to Absinthe (of which they have an excellent selection). Their food is phenomenal giving you a taste of what brings people from everywhere to eat in NO. Be sure to ask for a tour of the restaurant as long as it is during restaurant hours. You will be blown away by the history and the ambiance of this seemingly endless establishment. Can’t wait to return.
