Porterhouse hit the nail on the head. By the time I made it here, they had less than a dozen beers to choose from. I didn’t check out the meads, but I did pick up a bottle from a local Maine brewery. Worth a stop if you happen to be going to Red’s for a lobster roll. You might get lucky and find a good local or a mead.

Head to the basement here and you may find a Maine brew or two that you haven’t had before (along with a hand-dipped Carleton’s ice cream cone). Most notable for carrying (in the wine area) both Bartlett meads which can be quite hard to find. Located right next to Red’s Eats (which always has a big waiting line in the summer) and across the road from Sarah’s Cafe (which usually has a couple of taps with small Maine brewers like Sheepscot Valley or Growstown). UPDATE 6/13/09: Well they still have the Bartlett sweet mead which is great, but the beer selection has moved upstairs and gotten smaller. I liked the basement better.
