Maybe technically in Berlin, MD, but closer to West Ocean City, it is easy to find on Md Rte 611 right off Rt 50 and just before the Ocean City bridge. 12-14 good selections on tap and approximately 250 bottles. Ordinary looking building outside but inside is very comfortable. Menu was diverse, with emphasis on seafood. Food itself was very good. Service was great. This place has the best beer selection (around 300 bottles) I could find in the Ocean City, MD area.

This place opened in June 2006 in two adjacent buildings occupied by various failed stores & restauraunts over the years just outside Ocean City, Md. Didn’t think much of it as Businesses come & go in a resort town; thought it was just another tourist trap until I saw their ad in the paper last month "offering over 175 gourmet & specialty beers". The Island Store is a Beer & Wine Store w/Craft beer selection unlike anything I’ve seen on Marylands Eastern Shore-or Southern Delaware. Rogue, Avery, North Coast, Clipper City, Weyerbacher, Victory, Fordham, DFH... & Rochford (8 & 10!). Assateague Island Oasis is a full Bar/Restauraunt with good food, Wings, sandwiches, & a few platters. You can order any beer they sell in the store @ the bar-even Bombers & 750’s! They just run next door & get it for you.
Rerate-5/8/07- This place has become my local hangout. Good food, friendly knowledgable staff, laid back atmosphere, & the best beer selection in the Ocean City Md area BY FAR. The folks here are really into craft beers & make every effort to get everything they can in this area, where the selection is limited. Have expanded from 4 taps to 12, w/10 rotating crafts! & 1 Guinness! Definatly worth checking out if you are vacationing in the area!
Rerate- 8/29/10-The Bar/Restaurant has reopened under new management-but not the beer store. Still some decent rotating micro taps, food is good but much simpler than in the past-pub grub & pit beef. No extensive bottle list any more & no rare stuff, but it’s still got a better selection than most of the swill you will find in the Ocean City area. Live music Friday/Saturday in the summer, also a RAVENS bar-YEA!!! Enjoyable, but no longer a destination place.
