A good place to find some craft brews. Has a great selection with good prices. There’s really nothing much more to say than that.

It looks like a dive on the outside but on the inside when you head to the left side of the building you will find a nice long row of imports and crafts. I saw a decent selection of English-Scottish-and Welsh brews. In the refrigerators they have the bigger name beers (B-M-C). Toward the back you can find growlers from Massachusetts breweries. Being just a hop, skip, and jump from the Rhode Island stateline, you will find some Rhode Island brews, which I always have a hard time getting my hands on. Their prices aren’t bad. They also do a big bottle redemption business. They are part of a three-store chain in Massachusetts.

This is a typical mom and pop wharehouse liquor, and sort of a dive. You walk in and smell stale beer and glass breaking (they must recycle bottles there). Don’t let the appearance fool you, the selection is outstanding. They have an entire aisle dedicated to beer, all neatly organized as well as two walls of beer coolers. Nice selection of Belgians, European, Domestic micros, and most of the beers from the region. I saw beers from Alesmith, Lost Abbey, Newport, Stone Coast, Southern Tier, etc. Prices are average. It appears that they do not sell singles, but I did not ask. Definitely check it out.

A great local place for beer selection. A former small supermaket building, its a huge liquor store, one of the biggest in the area. Just a mile or 2 away from the RI boarder. There wine selection is massive, but the beer selection also stands out. One long shelf from the back to the front of the store of all beers. Local micros, imports including a nice belgium selection. They have most of everything that can get distributed in the area including now - Southern Tier, Stone, Alesmith (Speedway as long since been out) and tons more. Massive amounts of macros, cases and cases. Tons of beer in the fridge also. Any time i have asked for help, the service has been helpfull. They either have answered my question, or get a manager who can. A frequant stop for me since its about 8 minutes from my Pawtucket home.

Large warehouse type store with a huge selection of wine and beer. One entire HUGE row of craft brews amidst thousands of cases of macros. Alesmith, Lost Abbery, Port Brewing, Moylans, Stone, Weyerbacher, Southern Tier, etc, etc, etc. Tons of excellent breweries were represented. Lots of Belgian stuff too. You CAN break up six packs (I asked). Beer manager Ray was very knowledgeable and helpful. He even recommended a competitor when he didn’t have something I was looking for. Awesome.

First off, great trip, very satisified with the selection. Alesmith, moylans, rogue, stone, lots of belgians. Fair pricing. Dumpy location but it is what counts on the inside in this case worth the 30 min trip.

I have not been to Yankee in about a year but from what I can remember they had an impressive beer selection. The place is huge and the prices are resonable. It looks (and smells) pretty unpleasant, and the staff is not terribly helpful, but the selection alone is worth a trip. My only complaint is that they don’t have singles aside from big expensive bottles so if you want to try something new you have to dish out the 8+ bucks and hope for the best.

Fantastic selection. Every local New Endgland micro, plus a ton of imports and west coast, including Rogue and the almighty Alesmith, which is impossible to come by in RI (for me anyway). The place is about the size of a small grocery store (and has the ambience of one), and about 1/4 of the place is dedicated to beer. Great wine selection too. Prices fair, since they really have little competition. For me, its worth the 40 minute drive.

About the size of a local grocery store. Large selection of local micros and a few of the more sought after brands such as Alesmith (just missed out on the Pizza Port Old Viscosity!!!). Went in search of Newport Storm Special Release(s), Speedway Stout, and Southern Tier “big beers”, and was not disappointed! Found the prices to be very reasonable compared to other bottle shops in the area. If you visit Yankee Spirits, ask for “Ray the Beer Guy”. Very knowledgeable and a great guy to chat with about what’s available in the area.

not exactly easy on the eyes but it gets the job done. A great array of fine beers that are complimented by helpful and intelligent salesman....just stay away from some of the checkout people
