November 26, 2006 I walked in to find only a few bottles of relatively common beer sitting in a cooler. I was told that they were applying for a license to sell beer for consumption on premises and had to sell what stock they currently had on hand first. Maybe better in a few months, but not really worth the hassle of driving through Lowell right now. |
May 10, 2006 Update:3/30/06
Went into Olive that & More and they have greatly expanded their beer list. Fantastic additions, added several breweries to their line-up Victory, Smuttynose, Gritty McDuffs, Cisco, and a couple more I can’t think of. Definatly check it out if your in the area
Review 2/7/06:
This is a local store in the heart of downtown Lowell that has upscale groceries and fantastic sandwiches. The owner is a lover of beer and wanted to open a place in the neighborhood that people could go and get some good beer as well as a sandwich, snack, whatever. As you walk in it is pretty small, the deli is in the back and there is some small seating to the left. The beer is in the back right.
This is a very nice but small selection, "Quality over quantity" the best in Lowell by far! Ommegang, Three Philosophers, Bear Republic, Lagunitas, Brooklyn, to name a few. This place is great, my only gripe would be to expand the beer list a bit, but I’m sure some people would kill to have this selection across the street from their house.
