| Alldaydrinker (21), Norwood, Massachusetts | | December 1, 2007 Went there with a bunch of friends. Many brews to choose from, produced by mercury brewing company which most people dont know and think that eagle brook actually brews it LOL!! All of my friends thought that this placed brewed their beer onsite. Whatever, all good. The beer selection is very good, i believe about 10 or more to choose from had 4 of them and of course they were fantastic, wasnt expecting anything less from mercury. Service was tough, not the waitresses fault, she was very kind and helpful and felt bad due to the 1 hour wait just to get some food on the table. Had a great time would go back anyday and drink some more. Great experience, a must go! | estarrio (3), Rhode Island does not count - explanation | | July 26, 2006 If you are a local than this place is definitely worthwhile. I make a trek a couple times a year. The old-fashioned saloon decor is nice, though not the cleanest establishment. The food is average to above average quality for a saloon setting. In addition to the normal bar offerings, Mercury brewing co. supplies some decent beers. I honestly don’t remember anything about the service, which means it, was neither great nor poor. Again, a great place if you are local, though I wouldn’t travel too far out of my way to eat there. | | fbennett (23), Lowell, Massachusetts | | January 31, 2006 The "brook" as the local call it is located in Norfolk right off of 38 coming from Foxboro. It is kind of out of the way unless your making a jonte there. The atmoshpere is good, very casual. Alot of locals in this place, but the food and beer are worth it if your in the area. There was about 10 beers available on tap, but they also have commercial beer available as well. The blueberry ale is there signature beer and it is very nice. The food was good, I know the cooks so I have to say that ;-). But they had great variety and some good showings to pair up with the beer, which I love. Definatly recommended.
| | OldGrowth (106), the Contaiment Area, North Carolina | | June 13, 2004 [ Updated August 12, 2005 ] I find it a fun place. Beer made by Mercury brewing. Typical burger, chicken, pizza menu. Sit at the bar for better service. Generally a family kinda place. Try the Dogs breathe bitter while your there. | evinal (1), Mattapoisett, Massachusetts does not count - explanation | | February 5, 2004 Lived around the corner and had poor service twice. Two strikes your out. beer quality is ok. Food is okay. |
