This one is down the street from my crib so I have been a few times. The growlers are on sale every now and then across the street from me for $5. The restaurant is good but no TV’s for the sox game. I recommend the steak salad since it is the cheapest steak on the menu and you get a great piece of meat. There was a live jazz guitar player on the deck last time I was there. None of the hoppy beers were great, but the stouts and porters were good. They have a rotating list of fruit beers that are all interesting. Give it a shot if you are in the mood for steak, but head down the road to Northampton if you want better grub and great beer.

A very nice brewpub in the middle of North Connecticut and Southern Massachussets. I enjoyed the food (outstanding steaks, especially the filet mignon) and selection of beer on tap. The value was solid and the service outstanding. It was a treat to get a server who actually had a clue after an earlier stop in the night. This brewpub knows how to use the hops.

This Greek restaurant and steakhouse serves quality food and well-crafted beers in a classy Western ambiance. Yes, classy and Western were used in the same sentence. The homemade fries were excellent (not the generic freezer kind at nearby Northampton Brewery, for example) and the authentic Greek salad I had was indeed authentic and very flavorful. The beer menu was a tad disappointing in that it falsely advertised 14-15 beers they only had 8 in reality. None really stood out, but none was disappointing either. This place is a bit out of the way, but I wouldn’t hesitate to come back if I were in the vicinity of Springfield or Northampton.

An out of the way place that brews great beer/ They are quite nice and inventive. The food is on the average side from a steak house (smaller) perspective. The ambience is rustic and the people are friendly. The staff is fine until they get in the weeds. The bartender we had said they were out of a stout but we were just poured one a few moments earlier.

An upcoming brewpub built on a solid restaurant. Above average beers if but the standard trends and American hops only need apply. A huge place, and in a well-travelled local area. The beers were all appropriately served, not too hot or carbonated and my travelling mate was very satisfied with the food. The bartenders took their beers seriously, it was very fast and friendly service, and the assistant brewers were keen to come by seeing I was taking notes, to offer some extra beers not being otherwise served. Best - the porter. --

Great place to have a beer, the American wheat was awesome! As well as the two IPA’s offered. The service was top notch and the food was outstanding and plenty of it on your plate. I have zero negative comments about this joint. They offer a bunch of different beers for everyones tastes, did I like them all? No, but that’s just personal preference, the porter and brown were a bit middle of the road and not to exciting, but still easily drinkable. All the beers I sampled (8) where technically well made and clean. However, my only regret is that I don’t live across the street from this place! Check it out, you won’t be dissapointed. Opa-Opa is definately a "breath of fresh air" compared to 90% of the brew pubs in the New England area.

Very big restaurant/brewery, and it was very crowded during my visit- it seemed like the whole entire town of Southampton were there eating and drinking. Maibockaddict’s comment was right on, I felt like I was in Texas eating here, well minus sawdust on the floor and the mechanical bull. I am not sure how I feel about that but anyway.. Sat at the bar, got pretty good service especially considering how busy it was. beer was pretty well made and the skewer platter I got for dinner was pretty tasty. Considering they have a 13 + % IIPA on tap and their other beers seem to be solid, this is worth a stop.

I got to visit this place three times in the past month and a half and each time, they were out of almost half their beers, although between the three visits, and a trip to Table and Vine, I was able to try 12 (soon to be 13) of their beers. I finally found out that they have been growlering and selling their beers in package stores throughout Massachusetts, which is what contributed to the beer shortage at the brewpub. The food is great. The beers, while enjoyable can be repetetive. There are currently 4 light beers on their menu in addition to some really great session beers and a few attempts at strong beers. They are about to release contract brewed six packs of their staple beers, so hopefully that will alleviate their availability issues at the brewpub. The wait staff is clueless and not especially helpful. My waitress went as far as to lie about the availability of several beers when I asked for a sampler on one of my visits. They are much more friendly at the bar than at the tables here as each time I felt snubbed when ordering beer over something from their wine list at the tables. I’m looking forward to revisiting this place when they have their distribution settled and having another great meal.

Good size stand alone building. Plenty of parking. Dark wood and stone interior with a cowboy/westerm motif. Horns and antlers all around. Big rectangle bar with I’d guess 40 chairs, brewery visible from bar. One big projection tv and 8 others built into bar. Lots of tables and a large outdoor patio. Country music playing. Help dressed up in denim with neckerchiefs. Was a qiet tuesday afternoon when I stopped by only half a dozen patrons at that point. I had the fish & chips, but i substitued onion rings, big piece of fish that was a tad oily, but still good. Maybe a tad heavy on the batter. I had the Buckwheat IPA, A-10 Warthog, and American Wheat. 12 beers on tap, but cask had just kicked. Talked with brewer Dan & Asst Dennis for a bit. Bartender talked how she liked the malty beer rather than hoppy. Nice place to go to. You could take the family here and everyone should find something to eat.
