5 reviews for Baltic Fleet
| Svesse (88), Hässelby, Sweden | | October 8, 2009 Nice and friendly pub in a slightly worn down building close to Albert Docks. A smaller room by the bar and a larger room at the back. Additional rooms upstairs. Friendly and efficient service. Three or four beers from their own Wapping Brewery and a couple of guest beers on my visits in July 2009. Beers well kept. Definitely recommended for Liverpool visitors, the pub is nice and friendly and you’ll be able to try some Wapping beers. | | Fin (97), Merton, England | | May 27, 2009 Visited during a weekend in Liverpool November 2008. A great pub that despite its popularity has a nice locals feel about it. The beers that I tried were all very good and the pub itself a very interesting layout, I Suppose its a little like the Brunswick (Derby) in terms of shape. Food was also very good and simple fare. A great stop in Liverpool. | | Rune (87), Tromsø, Norway | | May 21, 2009 A brewpub located in the docklands, not so far from the Mersey. Wooden floors and panelling and divided into a few distinct areas. Has obvious resisted modernisation, and it feels like being on a well used boat with lots of individuality. The Baltic fleet was the most special place during our pub crawl in Liverpool. They make all their good ales in the cellar of the pub. Apart from the hand pumped ales there were also bottles of Wapping beers to take away. Should not be missed (visited 04.05.2009). | | DJMonarch (83), Northwich, England | | July 29, 2007 Quite a walk from the city centre pubs but worth it to sample the ales that are brewed on site by Wapping. The building has a real nautical appearance and is ideal for it’s setting in the docks district, 1930s curved design is in evidence and there can’t be many of these type of buildings left these days so it’s something to savour.
Good range of beers and cider available here. | | lada66 (46), Savonlinna, Finland | | July 19, 2007 [ Updated March 25, 2009 ] Merseyside´s only brewpub. Good location near the Albert Dock and the new Paradise Bus Station. 7 Handpulls Serving Wapping Beers, Guest Ales and a real cider, two beers on draught and a range of 40 condinental and world bottled bees.
A good english breakfast and bar snacks served every day, brunch on weekend.
The Brewery is situated in the cellar where an old smugglers tunnel provides an ideal cool conditioning area for the racked beer. The Brewery is worth visiting. Brewer has received a special award for servicies to brewing.
I have heard they are going to rehabilitate the place later this year.
