| Optigon (41), Bloomington, Indiana | | May 27, 2008 Very nice atmosphere. Didn’t get the opportunity to try their food, but their service was excellent. | | Slabjacker (29), | | July 30, 2006 Farily decent selection of brews and nice atmosphere. I’m yet to test it in the evenings. Staff is friendly but the menu could do with an upgrade. Worth a look in my opinion. | fearnobeer18 (1), does not count - explanation | | February 17, 2006 [ Updated April 26, 2006 ] Striking as one walks in. The brewery is behind large glass windows behind the long bar. Don’t look to close at the brewery though, you will see it is big & DIRTY. If you get a rare tour you will see a film of mold on the conditioning tanks & fermenters. The service is very uneven though friendly. they may not know the specials or soups of the day. The food too can range from tasty too cold depending on if the chef is present. THE KITCHEN CLOSES VERY EARLY-- 8PM OR SO EVEN ON FRIDAYS so call ahead! It is not uncommon for your car to be vandalized in their parking lot. YOU WILL HAVE A WAY BETTER TIME AT DETROIT BEER CO.
PS: The "pint" glasses are ONLY OUNCES!! What a ripoff!! | | jtw (26), farmington, Michigan | | December 29, 2004 feels nice inside, very open and warm with a full length bar. lots of seating, friendly waitstaff. they have the typical brewpub beers, and then they have a couple rotating seasonals which range from decent to very good. worth a stop, if you’re downtown and anywhere near jefferson ave! |
