| Sammy (210), Toronto, Ontario | | January 25, 2007 Cute friendly place, somewhat upscale, near the university. A small and personal bar, well lit up, where coffee and desserts are welcome. Private tables to have a date or talk without lots of noise. Jazz music. Like Starbucks if they went into the beerpub business. Only three beers on tap, all decent.Extra half point for air hockey game instead of video game. Lots of interesting health breads. A few bottles about of Motor City stuff. Not a bad double play stop on the way home to Canada, with Motor City tasting room feet away.

| kidwiththehair (3), Girdwood, Alaska does not count - explanation | | November 24, 2006 I work here so of course I think this place is sweet, but it reall is, There are always 3 micro’s on tap and we switch them up about every 3 months or so. Ambiance is super chill and the food is excellent. Not only do we make our own beer but we make our own bread and pies and cakes and all that good stuff. Come in and eat than walk across the lot to motor city brewing works | | jtw (26), farmington, Michigan | | September 20, 2005 interesting location, at a location that could be slightly intimidating to someone not familiar with the detroit environment (detroit’s historic cass corridor). sports bar-ish area to the left, restaurant area to the right, and brewpub area on the bottom level. michigan’s oldest brewpub? dunno, but still has a warm inviting feel, and i will definitely be revisiting the TJ. while you’re at it, stop across the street at motor city brewing works. |
