RateBeer Brew Tour Guide's Comments
Selection is mostly single bottles with a good selection of Michigan micros and quite of bit of hard to find Europeans. Look for the occasional vintage beers. Best keg selection in town and a friendly and knowledgeable staff. Can be quite pricey at times but look for the random deals.

| Hudspart (20), Hudsonville, Michigan | | August 26, 2007 Friendly staff, but not all that helpful. Great selection with a good selection of singles. | | milewide (11), Grand Rapids, Michigan | | July 23, 2007 Friendly staff and fine selection. Parking and location are negatives. Prices on most items are high, but they did have some good specials. | | jonwayne4883 (12), Grand Rapids, Michigan | | February 26, 2007 kind of pricey. less selection of singles lately. great variety of bell’s and founder’s. very helpful in hooking us up with kegs. | Jwasciuk (9), Lowell, Michigan does not count - explanation | | January 26, 2007 They have a nice selection since they have expanded. But the price definatly has an East GR premium to it. Ill stop by off and on when in the area to see if they have anything I havent seen or had from my regular stores. | poosnack (2), does not count - explanation | | November 1, 2006 Are you kidding?!
This place is wild! Tons of gourmet treats for everyone! There is specialty beer from all over the world, not to mention a crazy-huge selection of michigan microbrews. Unbelievable wine selection, import cigars, damn near every liquor in the state of michigan........what more could you ask for? Prices are slightly higher than usual, but hey, what do you expect from a specialty store that makes you feel like you’re in a private club?!? | mynameisjonas (5), Grand Rapids, Michigan does not count - explanation | | April 6, 2006 very nice place. good selection of six packs and singles. staff is very helpful and kind. | | AustinMilbarge (49), Phoenix, Arizona | | October 29, 2004 Some stuff here is otherwise unavailable in GR, but the prices are totally unreasonable, so pretty much I never go here. Basically, I never go here because it is so expensive (think 2-3 extra dollars per bomber of Rogue as compared to everywhere else on the planet, and the better stuff is even worse). But the deli is good, and the staff is friendly. | | Silphium (50), Lansing, Michigan | | August 21, 2004 [ Updated December 23, 2005 ] Not sure why I haven’t visited Martha’s Vineyard until now, but I came away very impressed. This classy store carries coffee, wine, liquor, meats and cheeses, deli sandwiches, ice cream, etc. as well as a very nice beer selection. Best selection of Bell’s singles I’ve seen in some time; most New Holland and Founders are also available as singles. Dark Horse and Kraftbrau are represented as well. Carries most of the same out-of-state microbrews as other stores in the area, but Martha’s has an awesome selection of Rogue ales that bests any other local beer store. Also a fairly extensive import selection with plenty of goodies (Sinebrychoff, Celebrator, etc.). Nice though small (as is typical for West Michigan) selection of Belgian beers including La Trappe, Gouden Carolus, Saison du Pont, etc. A few beers I haven’t seen elsewhere in the area as well. Clean presentation and good stock (perhaps beers don’t move as quickly here as they do in some of my other haunts) will keep me coming back. | bubslang (4), Kentwood, Michigan does not count - explanation | | February 26, 2004 Since expanding space is not so cramped and the beer selection has improved some, and there is some more beers available as singles. Most Michigan micros are well represented as well as a decent german, english, and belgium selection, and other US Micros. Staff is knowlegeable, helpful, and friendly. | | ClarkVV (90), Allston, Massachusetts | | January 12, 2004 Interior is clean and very classy looking. Very pricey. Selection is so-so, but a majority of the beer is kept refrigerated, so that's a plus. | View Page : 1 2
