Sailor965 (1), does not count - explanation | | October 9, 2009 50+ beers on tap depicting all different styles. There is no way to try them all in on sitting. Definate return trip. Woody’s Perfect Porter is excellent. Be sure to ask for it on CO2 delivery. Its a hidden jewel thats not listed on the menu. Not much in the food department. However you can bring your own or have delivered from any local resturaunt. | | jeffmw (14), | | July 17, 2009 When we planned our Michigan brewery tour we initially didn’t plan on going here but we left Kuhnhenn early and some big-time beer folks back in Wisconsin told my brother this was a stop we definitely had to make, so we ignored went...and I’m very glad we did. The selection was phenomenal. They had just about every style you could ask for and almost everything we had was good. They had the best Kolsch I’ve ever had and a great pepper beer as well. The atmosphere was much more laid back than most places. They had a guy playing guitar but it wasn’t too loud. The servers were great and very friendly. This place might not have the ratings, but it’s WELL worth the trip! | | swoopjones (115), Buffalo, New York | | April 13, 2009 Stopped in for lunch. Lots of taps. Big selection. IpA’s are OK. Juggernaut top notch. Nice sample tray; something like 5 7oz samples. Nicely decorated. Midevil theme. Nice bartender & cook. Very friendly as well as the locals. Very limited menu mostly fried foods. Had some tacos on special that were good. Nice place | | dmschefke (34), Eastpointe, Michigan | | March 16, 2009 [ Updated July 28, 2009 ] Overall a wonderful place. Atmosphere is great. You can sit at the bar or have a secluded corner. Music, television, and attentive staff. What Dragonmead has that I haven’t seen from other breweries, is a large selection at ALL times. The beer is great and they also have mead and wine for those that don’t want the beer. They don’t have much in the way of food, but have a bring your own policy that they encourage. The more I go to this place, the more I love it. | | jimmack34 (14), Lancaster, Ohio | | March 15, 2009 Went here on 3-13-09. Friday night and was kinda crowded. Nice looking place, with decent service. Very nice selection of their beer on tap. Not much food, though. They did keep pretzels on the table for us. We got 2 beer sampler platters. Overall, the beers were pretty good. | nefarious (6), Clarkston, Michigan does not count - explanation | | February 7, 2009 Went on a Friday night and it was packed.....got the last table in the joint. Not what i expected.....much smaller and very noisey. But still kind of a relaxed atmosphere. Dont plan on eating cause the menu is simplele....although the burger was really good! Huge selection of their own beers and growlers to go. If you get the oppertunity stop in and if you get the chance you can bring in your own food!!!!! | | hopdog (197), Lansdale, Pennsylvania | | January 3, 2009 What can I say about the selection. I counted 39 of their beers on tap...that is right, 39!!! They sell samplers - 5 x 6 OZers for $10.50, half pints, pints and Growlers. What more can you ask for! Well, if I had to ask, I would ask for a pub menu for food. We ordered the cheese appetizer and they brough us a roll of crackers till in the package and a slab of cheese still in the plastic as if I just brought it in from the grocery store. I would be in trouble if this place were my local pub. Service was slow even though there were 2 servers and only like 10 people in there when we 1st got there. We had to pretty much force our way onto them to ask for refills, etc. | | BigBeer45 (12), Troy, Michigan | | December 25, 2008 A nice place to stop in and have a beer, the premises are kind of hidden or you might say mix in with the surrounding buildings and can be missed if you have not stopped here before, the are Medevil Decorations here and there along with Dragonmead emblems hanging on the walls, I found the place rather quiet considering the amount of people and activity, maybe I just happen to go on a quiet night, I do recommend stopping in for a drink. | | msante79 (73), Orland Hills, Illinois | | November 27, 2008 Stopped in on a Monday while in Detroit on business. Place has a mid evil theme. Had a burger and fries and 3 1/2 pints. Small food menu but is dirt cheap. Huge selection of brews on tap. There had to be at least 35 of their own brews on tap covering a ton of different styles. I had a scottich ale on tap which was very good. Had 2 IPA’s one was good and one was not so good. It is awesome that they offer 8oz portions of all their brews which allows you to try a bunch of beers without getting trashed. Would stop by often if I lived in the area but prefer Kuhnhenn. | mickeykaline (3), , Alabama does not count - explanation | | July 7, 2008 hard to find but worth the search |
