| GaltScat (19), Minneapolis, Minnesota | | January 26, 2008 A city run liquor store that is greatly overpriced and a very limited selection for quality beer. Essentially, they have Bells, Goose Island, Surly, and a couple of other widely available selections. They do have a good wine selection and a smattering of quality vodkas, scotchs, and rums. For beer, however, go elsewhere. Also, this is a government run shop, spend your money at an independent, privately owned establishment, you will be much more satisfied. | | BDR (51), Roseville, Minnesota | | June 27, 2007 Been a while since I’ve been here. Poor service and small selection. One bottle of wine I looked at was $20 more than Surdyks for the same vintage. | | tytoanderso (27), St. Louis Park, Minnesota | | March 1, 2007 Great place for wine. Very unspectacular beer selection. Plus the prices are high. Very unimpressed with the service. Asked for Geuze and the staff had no idea. Very hit or miss. | | footbalm (53), Salt Lake City, | | May 14, 2006 They have alot of regular brews but have really gone away from having a good beer selection.Nothing you can’t find anywhere else. | hair-old (6), Bloomington, Minnesota does not count - explanation | | December 2, 2005 Lots of wine, lots of booze, lots of beer.
I found a bottle of albarino wine i had
been looking for plus a bottle of Intrigue
liquor.p.s. dont foget your wallet,prices
here are 20% higher than the store down the street. | | hellomynameis (30), Mayer, Minnesota | | October 27, 2004 It has been said elsewhere, their main focus is wine. Because it is close to home, I’ll go when I need some basics for parties, etc. The service is really good, and friendly. It’s a nice store to be in. | | badgerben (78), Blaine, Minnesota | | June 9, 2004 They have a solid selection of Midwestern beers, along with some Belgians. Wine is by far the focus of this shop. Beautful store though, and they appear to have a good pick of Scotch, Sake, and Wine. | | JK (98), uptown, Minneapolis, Minnesota | | May 22, 2004 [ Updated May 23, 2004 ] They claim to have 650 beers but I don’t think they are even close. But still a good selection. Service is difficult to find but they have a very knowledgeable lady on staff to help with beer. The deli is clean, large with lots of food. Wine is their primary focus, but lots of beer, liquor, and sake too. most beer in coolers. |
