| sroberts (26), Columbia, Missouri | | September 7, 2009 Great college atmosphere. The food and beer selection is diverse and unique. | | tjthresh (76), Greenfield, Indiana | | June 22, 2009 Large high ceiling bar area with a smaller dining room. They had 8-10 beers on. The help wasn’t great, but nothing really to complain about. The food was really good, and I don’t think you could beat the price. Recommended. | | topherh (13), Kearney, Missouri | | May 21, 2009 Restored old Studebaker?? dealership building has lots of character. Beer, Food, and Service is always above average. I have visited MANY times and have never been disappointed. | | Taverner (77), San Ramon, California | | May 5, 2009 The food at this place is great. Their beers aren’t the greatest, but their not the worst either. But the food - man nothing beats the fresh meat you get out here in the MW. | dwaggs2 (8), Lee’s Summit, Missouri does not count - explanation | | May 1, 2009 Great food. Fast service. Great beer. Huge selection of there own beer on tap. Nice IPA’s, stouts, wheats, etc. Great all around. Very busy so get there early and enjoy all the great food and beer! | | kwoeltje (50), Manchester, Missouri | | November 30, 2008 Welcoming interior. Friendly service. Nice selection of their own beers across a variety of styles (including cask conditioned). The food I had was excellent. Menu has a good variety of choices. I’m planning on making a trip to Columbia just to visit again. | | bleeng (68), Spring near Beersel , Texas | | November 21, 2008 I’ve been here several times over the past few years and never have been disappointed. Nice open, clean bar area. Usually about 8-12 beers on tap-all brewed on premises. Usually 2 cask beers which are normally the same throughout the year. Beer quality is average to above-average, while food is usually good. Service at the bar is usually prompt and friendly. Good place for beer and food. | | BlackDonald (59), Boise, Idaho | | August 3, 2008 Another must stop on the trail from Kansas City to St. Louis. A very cool beer oasis in an old studebaker dealership. Very clean, all wood with an open loft like ceiling, lots of exposed beams and views of the brewing area depending on which side of the bar you are on. They also have a comfortable open air pation in the spring and summer. Service is hit or miss at best. Food is great and moderately priced. Solid beers with very impressive simple seasonals. | IPAlot (1), Overland Park, Kansas does not count - explanation | | March 30, 2008 I’ve been to a lot of brewpubs. This one is special. Brewpubs are about beer and they have outstanding beer along with good food, good ambience, and good service. Throw in the fact that it is non-smoking (a minimum requirement for any place to be rated highly - if a place allows smoking they probably don’t worry too much about complying with health regulations either). | | JoeinUccle (138), Brussels, Belgium | | December 17, 2007 The quality of the beer makes this easily one of the best brewpubs in Missouri, possibly THE best. There’s a nice, very big bar with seating all the way around it, at least a dozen beer selections on tap any given night, and the food is pretty good too. There’s a big terrace outside when the weather’s inviting. Fun crowd, usually helpful staff. The whiskey menu is also worth a look, if you’re into that sort of thing. Lots of space. Did I mention the quality beer? Oh. Right. |
