| bhensonb (253), Woodland, California | | September 12, 2008 Special effort to get here - main E-W freeway is out of commision. It’s got a wall of beer more or less. It’s a good selection. Downside is they don’t mix-six. Lots of Bell, 750 Schaflys, and lots of other interesting things. Several SouthernTier Imperial styles. If you are driving through, stop. If you are flying through, it’s tough. Staff was rather occupied with themselves - individually. | | thegreenrooster (38), St.louis, Missouri | | June 2, 2007 Went here only b/c i was in the area. Good selection and many to choose from. Lots of bells, Unibroue and Belgian selections. There always seems to be about 25 people working in the store and they always seem eager to help. Prices are where this place loses points. Very high and almost to the point of being crazy. $10 for a six of bells I don’t think so. If your in the area and need a bomber of a Belgian beer, go ahead and stop in, just be prepared to talk beer with the staff and pay a lot. | | sethdude (17), St. Louis, Missouri | | April 15, 2006 My wife spotted this place, and I’m glad she did. Very clean, classy place. We were greeted promptly by a prfessional-looking staffer, who answered all of our questions with confidence and great product knowledge. I ended up with some bells ($8), and some rare (in the area) Hitachino beers (sweet stout and red rice ale) for ~$15 total. Prices are higher on singles than other places, but sixers are fair. Decent mix-a-six selection. Did I mention this is the only place in St, Louis that has the Bells 1000 batches. True that. I have a new beer store! |
