ITs an intersting little joint, thats for sure. Tucked away in a strip mall, but nice decor and atmoshpere inside. Not a bar really at all, more of a restauraunt just underneath fine dining. Food was greek, and good. Service was laid back but attentive. Liked the bar having history/fact books to read... and discuss. Not a must stop by any means, but a good place to take a date and still get to have a selection of beer. As mentioned beer from all over th world and some rarities on tap. But overall selection isn’t too huge (8 taps, maybe 30 bottles)

Don’t let the name frighten you! Excellent wines and food, however, they may also be the best kept beer secret in Northwest Kansas City. If you go to Zona Rosa, the Airport or Gomers at Hwy 9/45 this is a must stop. A nice big bar with eight taps and beer coolers on the far end. Fat Tire and NB 1554 Black Ale along with Dead Guy, Monty Python, Beamish and a couple Boulevard choices on draft. In the cooler, I saw six Belgian: Chimay Red, Orval, Duvel, Hoegaarden and a new one on me- Duinen Tripel. After that it’s a world tour of England, Eastern Europe, Greece, Italy, India and Asia plus Africa and back to Canada (Unibroue). The only thing I could ask for might be a couple more domestic craft beers; but at least they have no Miller or Coors and only Bud Light for macro must have folks. The service and knowledge here is superb. Owners Chris and Crystal are very hands on and they repect the beer. Appropriate glassware is given with most choices. One of KC’s best on-premise beer experiences. A nice special occasion place.
