6 reviews for Gomer’s North
| Gregis (23), Shawnee, Kansas | | May 7, 2009 Stopped in with theisti after the 6th Annual Parkville Microbrew Fest. Solid selection although there were quite a few empty shelves/slots among the large format stuff. Like others have said, if you’re in the area, it’s worth stopping in to see what they might have in-stock. Any place that carries Third Coast Old Ale for $10 a sixer (about 4 or 5 bucks less than I’ve seen it anywhere) will automatically force me to stop in periodically. | | theisti (114), Leawood, Kansas | | May 4, 2009 Stopped by after the 2009 Parkville Microbrew Fest. Store is clean, and laid out nicely - clear sections for beer, wine and spirits. Much of the store is dedicated to beer, with shelving in two corners, and most of the back wall cooler filled with beers. As mentioned by others, the selection is good, most all of the locals, big Bells selection (TCOA for $9.99 a sixer!) and a good selection of Belgians. I did not notice singles or mix a six. If you are up by the airport, certainly worth checking this place out. | | bblack99 (17), Kansas City, Missouri | | September 4, 2008 [ Updated April 27, 2009 ] A nice split of beer, spirits, and wine. They carry some really nice beers, including high-end Bell’s and some low-end small-time US brewers, a nice variety of Belgians, and a good mix of cold brew. The good stuff is tough to come by, so get in right after re-strocking day! Staff is helpful and knowledgeable, a very nice place in the Northland!
I had to re-rate based on some further experience with Gomer’s. Great staff, fair prices, and ROCHEFORT 10! | | SledgeJr (85), Omaha, Nebraska | | February 4, 2007 I always stop here when I’m returning from KC. The building is a stylized giant keg! Selection always has something you’ll like and they usually have some great sale prices on a few select items. | brewq (4), KC, Missouri does not count - explanation | | April 26, 2005 They have the best selection North of the River I have seen in KC. (Albeit with some dust on warm singles).
If you stick with the coolers and specials you get good fresh beer value.
Grab a shopping cart and stroll. | | heemer77 (172), Savannah, Missouri | | March 14, 2005 [ Updated October 18, 2009 ] Still a decent store, but pales in comparison to the south side KC stores. Returned here a few times. Still the best on the northside that I have seen. A decent store that is worth checking out if you are in the area. A full selection of Unibroue and the locals like O Fallon. Surprisingly they also have Bell’s! A small, but decent selection of Belgians, British and German beers. More sake than I have seen in other nice beer stores. |
