Downtown St. Louis’ closest thing to a grocery store until Culinaria moved in about 200 feet away. This would be considered a high-end grocer, with a lot of to-go options as well- sandwiches, salads, sushi, soups, smoothies, and so forth. A good amount of space is devoted to beer, with 2 shelves for build-your-own six packs toward the front, a long refrigerated shelf of beer in the back, and at least 2 other decent-sized shelves. Plenty of local/MO beers like Schlafly, O’Fallon, Boulevard, Charleville, and the rest. Also Bell’s, Founders, Odell, New Belgium, Rogue, North Coast, and many others. Since Culinaria has greatly reduced its offerings, City Grocer is a nice alternative for people looking for something decent downtown.
