An ok place, the lodge isnít that great, outdated, musty with dirty rooms, check Travelocity and Expedia for reviews. Limited beer selection, not much of an English pub. Some bands playing at U-City/Loop venues stay here because they can get discount rates, some are nice, some just want to get drunk like teenagers with a curfew.

Not necessarily a great beer place, but it is a great place with beer. Beer selection is mostly english macros, Beamish, Bass, etc. Bottles of BMC. Beer by the yard half-yard, or english pint. Games include chess and other such cerebral games. Bar tender goes beyond friendly. After 5 minutes, you fell like youíve known him for years. Easily the classiest and most intimate bar Iíve ever been to. No smoking means you wonít go home smelling like an ashtray. Great atmosphere for a relaxing evening with friends.
