It’s amazing this place hasn’t changed their sign from "Microbrewery" to "Alehouse" after all this time. I also don’t think they’ve cleaned their menus over the same period. West Yellowstone is a blip of a tourist encampment in the summer, and any dining choice here screams that environment. Virtually any of them offers at least one Montana micro. This place boasts an impressive 15+ Montana brews on tap. Reason enough to check it out. The food was tasty if overpriced (welcome to Yellowstone) and cooked to death. Two burgers and four beers set us back $60. Outrageous for such a grungy spot . But if you’re out for regional beers in WEst Yellowstone, this is it.

The brewer retired a few years ago, so sadly this is no longer a brewpub. They still had 17 local and regional beers on draft, many from Bozone in nearby Bozeman, plus three macros. No bottles worth mentioning. Food was OK. Service was fine, and they even took good care of families with kids. Worth a look.

May 2008 We went in and we were told had to order food and beer at the bar. OK. We were then told that they were not really kid friendly. OK not a big deal. My two girls under four years old have probaly been to and enjoyed more beer bars and brewpubs than most raters on this site. Advised that they didn’t know what the kids would eat. We had no beer and no food here. In a beautiful setting that would support a brewpub easily this place is giving a bad name to craft beers. Much better places in town to get a craft brew. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED is not an understatement. AVOID IF YOU HAVE KIDS. KIDS SCARE THESE PEOPLE.

Stopped by while visiting Yellowstone. Basically a dive. Poor service and very poor food. The people were nice and all, it was just not a nice place. Some decent beers on tap though. Prices were way too high, and I can say this place could be cool, but it was not.

Montana’s quirky brewpub laws (must stop serving beer at 8:00pm) put a damper on an otherwise very nice establishment. The place was on the small side, but packed with tourists. They emphasized German-styled beers. Therefore, the selection might be considered limited, however, a quite good selection for their niche. Good food and even better beers. A must stop if visiting Yellowstone National Park. At last year’s GABF I was stopped by the owners as they noticed I was wearing one of their t-shirts. Good people.

Stopped during our tour of Eastern Washington, Northern Idaho, Western Montana and Western Wyoming regions. As we visited all the National Parks and Breweries summer 2004. Stopped pretty fast they where not open but it was early. We did get a shirt and some cool swag when we told them about our trip and the breweries and such we have seen. They where very nice and we will be back on or next Yellowstone trip. Hope to drink some beer next time.
