Wow, what a surprise. This maybe the best kept secret in Omaha. We stopped in on a Friday just as they were opening and we were lucky enough to have the brewmaster pour our round of tasters. They had eight beers on tap and at least another eight bottled. The Bourbon Barrel Stout was one of the best I have had and really only one, the Octoberfest, was disappointing. We took home 2 cases of bottled brew and I know will be back often.

This is Nebraska’s first combination Brew-On-Premises/Brewpub/Off-site bottle shop. I hope this place survives. The people running it are super nice and deserve to be successful. The recent explosion of brewpubs in West Omaha will mean tough competition, but hopfully, the Brew-On-Premises concept will catch on in Omaha. I’m sorry to say that the first beers made here were a bit of a disappointment, but they have definitely been improving. Brewer Brendan McGinn has been adding a couple of all-grain exotics on tap that are worth the visit. You absolutely cannot beat their happy hour price of $1.50 pints. You can get a pizza next door and enjoy it with your beer since they do not serve food at this time.

Feb 2006: This place just opened. In a small strip mall near Dodge and 114th Street, this is a down-home brew-on-premise outlet. They also operate a small microbrewery of their own and sell the beers in bottles. They have a taproom in progress. The staff is super friendly and were extremely excited to show off their new digs. Stop by for a visit!
