Very small café with a nice old Amsterdam-style interior. With some luck you might get a seat, but don’t count on it. Outside underneath the windows are 2 benches, but the only view is a painted wall and tourists. Nevertheless a nice bar, the only one as far as I know that is allowed to have IJ Vlo on draught, which is imo a big plus.

Small place, cosy atmosphere, rather ordinary Belgian beers. Lots of bottles and beer banners all over the place. I was there around 9 p.m. and inside was deadly hot and sultry, few tables outside were all occupied. Had five new beers here.

Small and cramped but go in the early to mid-afternoon and you’ll find space. Walk by at night and expect a large crowd spilling out into the street. Beer selection is decent enough, ’t Ij Vlo on tap plus a few other good bottled Dutch beers. I was able to find a few new things and I’ve been to a lot of bars across the Netherlands. I struggle more in Belgium! Recommended while trekking around Amsterdam during the day.

One of the few small cramped bar experiences that I enjoyed. However, it was too hot inside (in February), so I sat outside and had my nose assaulted by lots of pungent weed instead. Fairly competent beer list, seemed like more than 30, and friendly service.

Again, a very central location for this small, comfortable Cafe with more tourists than locals. Efficient and friendly, apparently knowledgeable service, but the selection includes mostly rather standard Belgian beers. The draught list is solid enough, but not comparable to the Wildeman and Arendsnest. This would be pretty solid in a town that does not have such strong alternatives.

Found this place on the way home our last night. Dropped in for one and ended up having two. the barmaid hap stopped by a coffeeshop before her shift I think because she mischarged us and forgot what we ordered. The bar is really small, but has great character. Seats about 15 inside and another 15 outside. Good beers on tap.

Did someone mention small? Very well located, perhaps only 150m from Dam Square. 8 taps inc t’Ij V’lo and ~30 bottles. Most of the Belgian big guns ex. Westy. Good range of ’toasties’ and around e2.50, cheese e4.00 and spicy sausage e2.50. Very good bar, plenty of character but not in the class of Wildeman and Arendnest.

Superb little bar. Chouffe on draft. The toasties are good but a mouse eating crumbs on the chopping board put me off a bit the last time I visited.

Very classic Dutch ``bruine cafe’’ with impressive beer collection. Also right off Dam square, so easy location. Drank Vlo on tap there and really enjoyed it.

Wandering around Amsterdam we came upon this pace, nice to stop for a few pints on what the Dutch called a hot July afternoon. Low 80’s low humidity was great weather. I will say that the Heneiken is much better her in A-Dam, still it is what is is. Kepano is correct like most places in the Dam you almost have to wander in a place like this. Takes a day or so to get used to the street names and the maps, great city Amsterdam with good shops :)hotels, restaurants lots to do or little depending on the mood. Relaxed small pub that I would recemmend.
