| Fin (78), Merton, England | | June 22, 2009 This was a really excellent bar and in a lovely canalside location. Served nothing other than Dutch beers with over thirty of these on tap at any one time. Barman was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I would highly recommend this place if in Amsterdam I went back 2-3 three times. | | thebeertourist (12), Oslo, Norway | | June 12, 2009 Well, it is definitely the place to go for Dutch beer. It has most of them, good as well as bad. Even some vintage beers available. A small walk from the main streets in the middle of Jordaan and open all days, though only from 4 pm onwards. Good professional service- most of them (but not all) know their stuff. Considering the varying quality of Dutch beer, a knowing hand at the bar is absolutely necessary. A few more smiles would make this place even better. Food is limited to simple snacks. Mini-tastings possible. Less amicable and central than In de Wildeman, but with a more unique selection. | | MaxxDaddy (15), Hoboken, New Jersey | | June 4, 2009 This is THE place in Amsterdam for Dutch beers, and not only because the bar itself says so. Their taps and bottles include all distributed Dutch breweries, and only Dutch breweries. Has a nice long bar inside, with some seating outside as well. We had a very nice salami and cheese plate to go with our beers while there. Prices for taps and bottles were good for the most part. You should definitely go here if you want Dutch rates, or just want to drink local beer. | | goozen (14), Leiden, Netherlands | | May 16, 2009 Try Dutch beers, go here, al lot of taps thats only pours Dutch beers, and fridges full of Dutch beers. | | NoiZe (47), Mooi Zeist, Netherlands | | January 15, 2009 Nice place. Good service. Nice cheese. Selection is ok, some aged beers! Nice. | | forst (15), , Italy | | January 13, 2009 One of the best places I’ve ever been into, and the choice to focus on Dutch beers makes it really unique. | martinboer (4), Amsterdam, Netherlands does not count - explanation | | January 7, 2009 August 23, 2006
Excellent place. Visited with Pieter and I sampled 9 rare beers, including their last bottle of the famous Chocolate beer. Only two were his so I was quite "full" when leaving. Very friendly barkeep named Mauritz. They have 15 taps, six of which rotate. They also have an enormous amount of bottles. Really great place. Recommend highly. | iambeerviking (1), , England does not count - explanation | | October 28, 2008 Very excited about exploring this place. Think we had a wrong nihgt for the dude behind the bar.
As in, he knew hist stuff but just wasn’t that happy to engage. | | yespr (10), Copenhagen O, Denmark | | October 27, 2008 One of the best bars I’ve ever visited. 23 - 25 taps of primarily Dutch and rare beers. They do offer samples at a reasonable price. Service here is really great compared to other bars at which the owner is permantly angry. A nice and small selection of vintage beers too which should not be missed. Bottled beer selection in general should offer you basically at least one beer from each Dutch brewery. A must in Amsterdam | | sunevdj (35), Copenhagen OE, Denmark | | October 15, 2008 Supercosy place with many local patrons. Almost full when we came, empty half an hour later. Good selection of only Dutch beers. Lots of taps, some of them with seasonal brews. Also a fridge (to the far right) with seasonal bottles. | View Page : 1 2 3 4 5 6
