chilangoglobal (3), Wagerningen, Netherlands does not count - explanation | | July 5, 2008 Very good shoop in the centrum of Leiden, bit difficult to find the place but once within, you’ll get crazy of the amount of beer, There are not many local beers, but without doubt is one of the best collection in North Holland. They just moved to the number 9 in Hartesteeg | TrefwoordPunk (7), Leiden, Netherlands does not count - explanation | | December 7, 2007 [ Updated January 21, 2008 ] Nice dark beer-shop with a very good selection and lots of glassware. Helpfull staff, but it’s a shame their beer isn’t priced | Chimay (3), , Netherlands does not count - explanation | | November 30, 2006 Living around the corner this store is part of my saturday round, and I always end up with something perfect for the night.
They opened the world of beer for me as they supplied my studentbar with over 30 specialbeers, such as: Chimay, Orval, Bush, Beelzebub, Fin de Monde. Beers hard to find in a normal cafe, let alone a studentbar.
Good knowledge and service (we ones woke them up at 00:00 to get an emergency delivery)
Please do not forget the Cuvee from the Keiser ones it is there. Also like that they have a good selection of German beer, Belgian beer and strong liquor.
did I mention I lived around the corner :P | | maeib (10), Wootton, Northampton, England | | May 10, 2006 Lovely beer shop in a lovely city. Decent selection of Dutch beers. A good selection of Belgians, some Germans, some British and some US. Some big beers as well like Bush Prestige and some of the really good lambics. Main criticism is that the prices are not shown on or near each beer - however I don’t feel what I paid for the stuff I got was too bad. Didn’t dare buy the Prestige though, maybe next time?? Not open Sundays (understandable) or Mondays (ridiculous) | Otje (4), Leiden, Netherlands does not count - explanation | | October 23, 2005 This bottle shop is my main provider and, as you can see in my ratings, they have a very broad selection of beers from all over the world. including Fantome, real ales and a lot of dutch, german and belgian microbrews. If i want something they always check out availabilaty, and most of the time, order it for me. Just great!! Their whisky selection is also out of this world...But i must admit, not the cheapest of shops. | JanPrimus1982 (7), Delft, Netherlands does not count - explanation | | September 13, 2005 Instead of the Wijn & Bierboutique these people from De Man Van Drank know where they talking about. Had a nice chat about Fantome. A bit expensive. | bikesandbeers (4), San Diego, California does not count - explanation | | September 6, 2005 Friendly workers, awesome selction. lots of great belgian ales and dutch microbrews. Also carries the full range of Anchor (which you can’t always find on the east coast of the US, let alone in europe) and Coopers (not seen much outside of australia. Prices are what you expect to pay at a small specility shop. Not the cheapest, but worth every penny. | | jbrus (84), Delft, Netherlands | | May 11, 2005 Very nice people, nice location, good selection but expensive. | | jerohen (15), Bussum, Netherlands | | May 5, 2005 I used to come there every week when i was working in Leiden. Nice staff, they know a lot about beer. Selection is absolutely great, i could find beers here i couldn’t find anywhere else in the country. | | bierkoning (138), La Tropica, Netherlands | | March 4, 2005 Many lambics available as well as Fantome and Dutch and Belgium micro’s. Also beers from Germany, England, Mexico. Not too expensive. Probably top 5 for beer stores in the Netherlands | View Page : 1 2
