Went here whilst waiting for my sister and girlfriend to finish their shopping. By the time they found me they couldn’t drag me out. Has a good selection of rare beers on tap, also has a good selection of bottled beers. Staff is very helpfull and friendly and being allowed to throw peanuts on the floor is just how every bar should be like!

Great little bar, recommended by a friend. Excellent ambiance, and laid back feel. Don’t be eager in this place, or want to make your own decisions on beer, the owner just won’t let you. Take a seat, and when he’s ready, he’ll come over and tell you what beers he doesn’t serve. However, most of the stuff he doesn’t serve is regular stuff you can get anywhere, so what’s left is a great collection of slightly rarer belgian strongs, not many others outside this style though. Great for a good chat to, and fantastic on beer geekiness, but take everything else with a pinch of salt, thankfully my friends were ok with the owner’s playfulness! Definitely coming back here. Peanut shells only on the floor, please.

My favourite beer place in Maastricht. The owner has a very decent beer knowledge and is happy to advise and knows his beer(geek)facts. He’s also happy to tell his customers that they try to order something (to his opinion) stupid, in which case you are not likely to get it. It’s a gimmick but it works. Good selection of the more rare belgian beers, and their own brew (well.. beer specially brewed for them) is a pleaser.

Small place, looks a bit shabby on the outside, but upon opening the door everything you see screams beer. From the bottle caps covering the entrance hall walls to the wallpaper of beer coasters inside, not an inch of space is not covered with beer-related parafernalia. Tables in the back are not very comfortable, so be sure to be near or at the bar. As for the beers: almost all bottles are unusual Belgians, tap selection is decent. Staff is very friendly, Mery is running her socks off and Peet is pleasing the crowd with beergeek facts and pranks. Had a great time here, including my not-so-beergeeky but thankfully very open-minded friends. Definitely worth a re-visit.

A very nice little bar near the centre of the city. If you entre the bar, everything you see has to do with beer. The staf is freindly and likes to talk and tell you about the beer. They give you advice and helps you the makes choices. They’ve got a great selection of beer.

I had the chance to visit this place on my Friday off. I was very pleased at my decision. The woman running the counter was awesome. She help making choices very simple and always described what we were about to try. I was smart and made a short list from their internet pages, because you would get lost looking at the names on the wall. I was a bit miffed at them not having the Netherlands beers available that I really wanted. The atmosphere is awesome for a European bar. Throwing the peanut shells on the floor reminded me of a bar back in NY I liked to go to.

This quiet place is ripe for beer nerdery. Long list is heavy on Belgians, not so many interesting Dutch beers. Lots of quality and a few surprises. I’m from Missouri, so I can’t say peanut shells on the floor are anything new to me. Very friendly couple running the place. Highly recommended.

A place where you have to throw the left ofers from the peanuts on the floor. A very nice selection of beers and a beer specialy made for the pub makes this pub very nice

While the women were shopping me and my dad used to take one overhere on saturday afternoons. Good selection of beers, go well with the peanuts. :)
