Visited here recently. Food was above average... service was good... beers were average, except for the the Oatmeal Stout, which was outstanding. Quite a way off of the main travel routes, unless you are sightseeing in Northern NH, but well worth the day trip.

Here is a place that I really like to go. Part of the New Hampshire-based Common Man chain, which is highly regarded and probably the most respected restaurant operation in the state. The owner is very active in community affairs and frequently helps those less fortunate. In recent years a few of their brews have been bottled and sold around New England and most of those brews are above average. But they are not as good as having them fresh out of the barrel at the brewery. A great rustic atmosphere. After dinner you can buy samples of Americana like old magazines and posters. Great, friendly service and a creative menu selection. Super appetizers! The price is a but higher than most pubs but don’t forget that you are visiting a place in the heart of New Hampshire’s North Country tourism hot spot. You will be able to sample a few brews that are only available in the pub. Last time I was there they offered a variety pack of beer samplers for a reasonable price. This is a good place to visit if you are in the area. It’s a bit tricky to find as it is in downtown North Woodstock and doesn’t really jump out at you but I think you will be pleased with your experience. Growlers available on the premises for $10.00 each.

My girlfrend and I did the Brewers weekend and had a blast. Stayed across the street in a old style room not that fancy but it was still comfortable. Being able to drink and not have to drive anywhere is great. We woke up at like 6 to brew Saturday morning which was a lot of fun. Crazy Rick the brewer is a fun guy and you get to hang out with a few people for the weekend. everything is all inclusive for the weekend, the food, beer all weekend it was great. The beer isn’t all that great but I drank a lot of the oatmeal stout I’ll tell you that. They had bands play at night and people danced and it was a fun time. Food was pretty good and you can get growlers to go. They even make a root beer that was delicious.

Had a nice lunch in here after a few hours of leaf-watching. Sort of a cool old building divided into a series of rooms with completely different vibes. There is an unfortunate choice of wallpaper in the dining area. The bar area is pretty interesting though. A very tasty lunch and the autumn brew was very nice. Worth checking out if you’re on the way through.

Had dinner and a couple of beers here after the Ye Olde New England Day brewfest. Food was pretty decent, and waittress offered good service. Beer was pretty much average, the pemi pale wasn’t too bad and the oatmeal stout is alright. Definitely a weird ambiance/atmosphere, as the place is split up into different sections, all with much different personalities. I liked the downstairs, with a rustic bar area, a foosball table, a window with a view of the brewery, and peanut shells on the floor. Clientele seemed to be alot of macro people, probably because there aren’t many other bars in this town. Overall I had a pretty good time and worth a stop if you happen to already be in the area.

I was pretty disappointed in this place, but realizing they are one of the only games in town, I sort of have to give them a pass for not playing too much to the beer lovers crowd. We were there on a Saturday night and it was pretty busy. The service was average, as was the food. The two beers I had were disappointing (stout, IPA). The coolest part seemed to be the front bar with windows to the brewtanks, but it was crowded in there.

Did the brewers weekend. Mixed archictecture, building has had a couple add ons. Sevice was good staff was attentive and friendly.Inn has a couple of house on the same street. Made a batch of wheat beer. Helped from beginning to end. Food was good, pub grub in brewpub and restraunt. More upscale, sort of, at the Inn’s main dining room. I had alot of fun making the beer, plus unlimited beer drinking on saturday while making the beer. Brown ale is very good.
