Wasn’t a big fan of this place... Its definetly worth it for the beer, but the people there were all pretty odd. THe service was just OK, took a long while to get my refills and the food was just ok. I did go around 4PM so maybe its better for dinner.

Decent small brewpub in downtown New Brunswick. Suggest going there for lunch, as dinner usually results in a wait. In addition, the place can get pretty loud. They do have a cask ale on from time to time, and the bar back areas is pretty kewl with a large keg embedded in the wall. Most of their beers are solid, but their Oatmeal Stout is very nice. Get this one over and over again. Lineup is a bit heavy on English styles.

Located in the heart of New brunswick, a bigger town than I had expected. This is a proper pub where food comes in second and they try to brew interesting styles and had a nice variety on when we were there. I can’t say I felt particularly at home though. This was a sunday night and they had a live show on. Competent musicians, but detrimental to conversation at the high volume that they were playing at. Mostly young 25- yrs old crowd when we were there around midnight, but a large party of 50+ yrs old had just left. Lots of TV screens despite the small area of the place. Cheap prices. I only tried 3 of the 8 that were on, but they were satisfying examples. It’s a recommendable place to have a few beers if you’re in the area, but it felt like a regular bar more than a brewpub, thus the service was expeditive.

Harvest Moon is a great place. The food is good and I really enjoy the beer. However, it was served a bit warmer for my likeings. The place itself is in a great location in downtown New Brunswick. The menu is somewhat unique. If your ever in NB check this place out.

Decent place ambiance-wise, well-kept and inviting. It’s been ridiculously noisy the two times I’ve been there. Brews are average, with many tasting similar, and the food is nothing exciting. Service is friendly, but since it’s always so crowded and noisy, it’s not going to be perfect. Worth a stop if you’re in (or near) the Key City, but don’t make a 50 mile trek to it.

Rather than try the sampler, took a shot on a few pints. All good. Food was very good. Service was fine.
Passed the beer test from me and the food test from the wife, so will go back soon.

Being close to the New Jersey turnpike made it a good stopping point on our way from DC to CT, and we were delighted at what we found. There were 9 beers on tap, all of which were decent, and a few were quite good. We ate upstairs -- the service was good, and the food excellent, if a bit expensive. Definitely worth returning.

Stopped by after a meeting. Had a sampler. What a deal. ten (10) four ounce beers for $10. Most of the beers were as expected. But a couple were outstanding. The food was OK. But, it was presented well.
Park at the meters on George before you get to up town. It’s a short walk and cheap.

I did not have any food. Just stopped in to try their beer sampler while in New Brunswick for a work conference. Beers were about average. I thought the double IPA they had on tap was the best of the bunch. My server was very nice and friendly. Kept checking in on me but wasn’t pushy about getting food or anything like that. Ambiance is your rather typical American brewpub feel. The food looked really good...just wasn’t hungry for anything. Seemed on the small side...at least the first floor. Looks like they have an upstairs but I didn’t get up there. I would recommend stopping in here if you are in the area.

I was at Harvest Moon a couple of times YEARS ago, around 1997 and 1998. SInce then the beer has improved tremendously, got an 8 beer sampler and all of them were decent offerings, with a couple being very good. Nice place, sat at the bar. I went on a saturday afternoon and there was a decent crowd there, but still an open bar stool. Didn’t have much time so I didn’t order any food, next time I am in N.B I will have to.
