| msante79 (73), Orland Hills, Illinois | | September 20, 2009 Staying one night in Albuquerque before going to El Paso for 2 weeks. Really nice place and much more upscale than I expeted. Had the crab cake which was pretty good and the truffle blue cheese fries which were average. 10 beer on tap. 6 regulars and 4 specials. The 2 IPAs and the DIPA I had were all very good. Nice atmosphere and a very large bar. Wish every town I visited had a place like this. Wish I could of met Erway while I there. I recommend this place to anybody who visits Alburquerque. | | bleeng (68), Spring near Beersel , Texas | | April 2, 2009 I’ve visited here on many occasions and have always found the beer and food to be outstanding. No belgians on the last time I visited but they do have some decent rotating taps. Good place to visit when in ABQ. | | sealfriend (18), , New Mexico | | October 26, 2008 I like this place a lot. First, it’s beautiful: the copper bar is my favorite part. The outdoor fire place is also nice.
It’s in the parking lot of a movie theatre....so a drink before or after (or both) is always an option.
Big fan of the green chile fondue.
| | ajm (161), Los Angeles, California | | October 15, 2008 [ Updated December 8, 2008 ] After the last two times I am much more enthusiastic about coming here. The more specials they have on draft, the better - apparently, the fall months are that time. Very ambitious selection of fruit beers, browns, Belgians. Maybe execution isn’t always there, and maybe you have to time it just right to have a good special on tap... but when things work out, the place is money. | | SHIG (81), Aviano, Italy | | November 7, 2007 Let me start out that this place is more than I expected from a Micro Brewery. It was jammed pack on a Tuesday, I was impressed as I barely found a stool at the bar. Met one of the bartenders from the tap room location and he broke down a lot of the choices. It’s no secret I am a dark beer guy, but I was really digging their IPA and Belgium blonde. You can tell the brewer takes a lot of pride in his trade. I was able to sample the seven beers they had on tap in 4 oz glasses for only dollar each. Lets say my tab was far less than the cab ride from my hotel! There were servers walking around with bread that is any samplers delight. I wish they had a few more beers, but I guess that will give me another reason to come back. This place is a must stop if your in Albuquerque! | | josarah (68), Hinesburg, Vermont | | March 15, 2007 Very upscale for a "brewpub". Our meals were great and the beer was very good. Service could not have been any better. Other patron were even fun. I just would not feel comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt here. Highly recomend | | waolsen (60), Littleton, Colorado | | October 4, 2006 Visited while in a town that there really isn’t much out to visit. Great atmosphere. Upscale resteraunt and bar. Food is unique and very good. Nice selection of beers. Cigar bar with leather chairs, fireplace and tvs. I’ll definitely be back when in town. | | Braudog (476), Dayton, Ohio | | September 21, 2006 Sep 06: OK, this is the same location as the formerly-named Blue Corn Brewery and I believe is still owned by the same parent compant as the two Santa Fe Blue Corns ... but this is a step up. Newly remodeled from what I remember in the past, and with a definitely improved list of bigger and better beers, this place moved quickly up my list of places to stop for beer in the Albuquerque area. Very good. | | fordest (62), Santee/San Diego, California | | August 20, 2006 This place was great. I never did get to try the food, but what a nice place. Toured the back and joined in a mini tasting with erway, Ted, Stan and others. Pretty fun day. Really cool place with some great beers. | | whaleman (24), North Wales, Pennsylvania | | March 11, 2006 [ Updated June 20, 2008 ] Serious beer lovers should go during the day if you can. I’ve spent abundant enjoyable hours here. Food is very good, but somewhat pricey. The beer ranges from good to excellent. They always have 6 quality standards plus 3 or 4 specialty beers that are often very interesting. Talk to Ted or Jeff if you get a chance. |
