Your Opinions - Place info very fresh - it's been rated recently

The_Jester | Visited for supper last fall. The place smelled a little damp, and the decor was oddly inconsistent - (wicker chairs, plastic flowers, exposed brick and rafters, fireplace, etc). Lots of space inside, but not much parking outside. Great, friendly, very attractive service. The food was good, and the beer selection (bottles and taps) was very good. I’ll be back.

cbkschubert | Stopped by toward the end of lunch. The family and I ordered a few beers and lunch. Took awhile to get the food. A little suprised since there wasn’t many people there. The food was good and they had a good selection of tap and bottled beer. A little pricey though. We were lucky enough to find a close parking spot. Overall, a pretty nice place.

blipp | Very good selection on draft that is always changing. Including some Green Flash and Bells which is usually pretty hard to find in Western New York.

hopson | The best beer bar in Buffalo. Hands down. Undoubtedly, you will be pleasantly surprised with both the tap and bottle selection. Its extensive, and Coles has stuff you simply cannot get by visiting other beer stores and bars in the area. Mike the owner is a friendly guy who is really into beer, and it shows. food aint bad either. A must stop if in the area.

tagz | Finally made it over to Cole’s and holy crap they have some great beers on tap! Their draft list is about 20 long, including 5 designated to beligian ales. there’s restaurant seating, bar tables and a packed bar. it was pretty packed when we stopped in but we had a beer at the bar and they got us a table in 15 minutes or so. had some great burgers and wings and a some great weizens! definitely worth checking out. i might hit it up on a weekday to avoid the crowds. plus, drafts are $3 on wednesdays!

beerlord | Great menue, my picky wife found several things to order. Pretty fair beer selection, but not as good as i epected. Ambience is pretty cool, you can watch the freak and college hotties walk down the street or sit back and watch the game one the TV food was very good, but I have 3 problems with this place 1. It’s in the city, 2. no parking, see 1. 3. service absolutly sucked, probably the worst service i have ever had anywhere.

mabel | Great atmosphere in both the sunny eating room and in the bar (various locals dining for lunch mid-week). Friendly, courteous staff, apologetic for taking a bit longer in getting our first drinks. Selection is impressive and fresh, both on tap and bottled. Food is gloooorious (visions of Buffalo wraps and Pulled Pork wraps are still dancing in my head) and fairly priced. Overall, a wonderful should-visit establishment if you’re in town for a few hours.

gwpom | I will rerate this at another time, as I was there my only time for the Barleywine Festival last weekend, and didn’t sample their food. But from what I saw I was very impressed, and hope to make it back downtown for dinner. Met Mike at the festival, and quite enjoyed the time he spent with us, trying the beers himself, getting acquainted, just discussing good beers. When you’re ready to open your franchise in Akron, Mike, you let me know!

jerc | Food is great, I typically get the delicious Buffalo Chicken Wrap and drool over the Kobe beef burgers others have ordered. Tap list is usually pretty solid and I usually have to decide between trying the new rating and the "Holy cow, you have that on TAP?" choices (this factor is lessened for you lucky Americans who see some of these more regularly) Prices are fairly reasonable but not nearly as good as Goodbar next door. Service is always friendly, but I have alternated between getting a hard time for ordering half pints and them not having a problem with it. Not sure if maybe it depends on where you’re sitting? Needs to be consistent on that one. (Preferably in favour of allowing half pints!)

illinismitty | I met up with Rudolph and IPFreeley. This is a cool place. The music is not too loud, and there is a good mix of people and age groups. The selection of beers on tap was very respectable, and a good small rotating bottle selection. I did not eat but the food LOOKED pretty good. I’d recommend that you take a cab when you visit, so you can try more beers. Plus Mr. Goodbar is next door, and they have beers that are not on tap at Coles. However, this is my kind of place to hang and have conversation. Goodbar is not IMO.
