A cramped kind of General Store with an OK selection of room temp micros with no singles. There is not anything here that you can’t find at the Party Source or Brillbecks...both of which have a larger selection than Galeville. Park in back.

Great bottle shop. You would never know from the outside. It was a nice surprise for us when we were traveling. I was able to pick up somethings that I could not get here in MD. Prices were a bit higher than I was used to paying due to the bottle deposits. Would definitely stop there if I was in the area again.

It’s a grocery store, all right. An old one. But it’s a really cool grocery store. In truth, it’s old, the aisles are narrow, and there is no organizational system here that I can make out. But the selection is fantastic (check the website), the prices are clearly marked and quite good, and the service is friendly, fairly knowledgeable, and very helpful. (When they found out I was en route from Ontario, they comped me a 6er of Saranac!) My only complaint is that they don’t want 6ers split up. No big deal. Great place.

I found this place through this site. It’s a Goldmine. An old Style neighborhood grocery with narrow packed aisles. I could only carry 3 six packs to the counter, no room for carts in this place. The sixes I bought were those I had been searching for and couldn’t find anywhere else locally. The guy that checked me out was knowledgeable and friendly, gave me a copy of a beer newspaper and a list of the beers he carries. Gotta be more than a hundred of them, not including the Bud, Coors and Miller products. I gave him a good food rating because of the nice delacatessen in the store. A new stop for me whenever I go "down city."

We dropped in here on the way down to Ommegang. It was a small cramped grocer with a decent selection - but not enough for you to buy anything. They must have had 200 different labels yet all are distributed at Northen NY locations. I think I was interested in 2 beers but passed on them because our return trip was to take us through Rochester (Beers of the World).

Typical tight-alleyed convenience store with a far better than average line of products, perhaps 150-200. Good selection of american produts, few imports. I guess I’d rather encourage them than Party Source, who’s a bit stronger on belgians and weaker on americans.

This little grocery has probably the best beer selection in CNY for take out. Not a very large stock (compared to Party Source), but just as many local, regional, national and Belgian beers. The beer manager was very friendly and fairly knowlegable. Easy access and worth a visit. And, by the way, it’s NOT at all rural, it’s basically in the city.

Decent selection of California Beers (Stone, Bear Republic, Acme) with the local NE US beers. Friendly staff. Good stop if you are in Syracuse, and slightly better prices than Party Source on most beers.

This place isn’t too far from the carousel mall, so if you’re in town for the mall, then it might be worth a trip over. Has lots of NY macros and other off the wall stuff. Has very reasonable prices (Bombers of Unibroue at $6 a bottle, 3 philosophers bomber for $5.50). It’s a decent place with a decent selection and they have several flavors of Lindeman’s too. This place is as good as the Party Source.
