4 reviews for Hoosick Street Discount Beverage Center
basewars (8), Albany, New York does not count - explanation | | August 4, 2009 Like other stores in the area, it’s a warehouse atmosphere. Decent selection, but not much special. Not all that impressed, but it has enough to be a regular place. Just don’t plan to do any beer hunting here. Westmere and Olivers are better for selection. | | xproudfoot (37), Paleolithic, Pennsylvania | | August 10, 2006 Weird stockroom ambiance, nice wide variety of beers, plenty new to me. mixes the cheap stuff with some really interesting imports and microbrews. staff kid made a couple of good recs. lots of stuff from CA, other states, regional, europe, unibroue, belgians. | | IMtheOptimator (33), Bethel, Connecticut | | February 15, 2005 [ Updated October 28, 2005 ] This is (was) one of my regular suppliers. Stone, Bear Republic, Weyerbacher, Mendocino, Smuttynose, Victory, plus may Belgian, German, and English brews. I’ve gotten to know the staff personally. They are helpful to their customers and enthusiastic about their products. | | AustinMilbarge (49), Denver, Colorado | | January 24, 2005 When I have the "pleasure" of going to Troy, NY, I try to stop by here. I’m usually able to find quite a bit of stuff I can’t get in the midwest that is tasty. DFH, Victory, some Magic Hat. They’ve got a pretty good selection of singles. If you have to be in Troy, this place is worth a stop. |
