An Institution for the NC beer scene. Much smaller than the Durham location. When you come in from the Main St side, as you can also from the Speakeasy, the bar is on the left and the restaurant on the right. The bar is J shaped with wood and copper top a fancy wood & mirror hutch type thing behind the bar that holds the glasses and some other things. A small couch area beyond the bar. Good Pub grub, nightly special are usually good. Garlic fries can be really garlicy, but I’ve had some dud batches too. 3 TV’s in bar area. Solid tap selection that usually has a couple local selections. They try to do the proper glassware. Families come here on a regular basis, bit of a hippy clientele, students and beer geeks. Gets loud at peak times and you will have to wait.

Not a bad little bar. The speakeasy was cramped, but they had a nice selection of beers on tap. Parking sucked. Not much space for that. As for the food i didnt eat, i was only interested in the brews.

Been here several times but always during the day when the place was dead. Great selection of typical bar fare. About 12 different taps. A couple belgian (maredsous, chimay white) and multiple domestic craft brew taps. I had a rogue imperial porter last time. Have these events on Tuesdays known as "Pint Nights" where you get to keep the matching glass of whatever the nights special pint is. Have yet to make it to one, but always love collecting some new glassware. If I move to Carrboro, I can imagine spending a lot of time here and Milltown up the street.

Smaller than the Durham version but with a bigger food menu. Tap selection isn’t huge but it’s all quality. Non-smoking. More of a dinner and a beer type of bar than a hang out and get drunk bar. Definitely worth a trip if you’re in the area. Bartenders seem to be knowledgable. Last time I went they basically had one generic chalice type glass for Belgian stuff but everything else was served in a proper glass.

Very cool bar just across the city line from Chapel Hill. Smaller than their pub in Durham. Food is beter than the Durham location, but beer selction is a bit smaller (30ish taps). I had a French Broad Brewing Oktoberfest, an Avery Hog Heaven Barleywine, and a Chimay Blanche all on tap and in their own glassware. Service was decent. Defintiely worth a vist.

Great bar in Carborro, NC. The food is great (garlic fries....yum) and the draught beer selection is great (no BMC and always has 60 minute). My only complaint is the size, usually the bar is very packed and people are standing everywhere and it proves hard for you to get to the bathroom or for the wait-staff to get by etc.
