September 13, 2009 Located on the main college commercial drag. The patio was full (the weather is incredible right now) but inside was fairly empty. Nice ambience. Laid back. There is a sports bar component, but it doesn’t dominate the vibe, and before the football game came on they played Nine Inch Nails and Tool, so that makes it a winner in my book. The staff is friendly and if I may say so, the girl tending bar tonight was GORGEOUS! If I didn’t live four hours away I probably would have made a fool of myself. I was tempted to anyway. OK, moving on. Prices are good. The beers are mostly solid, though I got some off notes in a couple. Parking is decent for a downtown area. There’s a city parking lot across the street that is free after 8PM and all day on Sundays. I didn’t eat, but the guy next to me ordered some gazpacho that looked good. Nice place. |

February 26, 2009 hate to say it...but this place does not do much for me. most of the beer that is brewed in chapel hill sucks...and this place is not an exception to that rule. |

November 29, 2008 The food and beer menu are good, but noting special. Standard brewery/pub feel. Service was fine. Not great but not bad either. |

May 1, 2008 Decent brewpub. Got lunch here. The service was decent, I try not to judge a place based on one server though. The lineup was subpar. Nice to see an alt on though. I think it was a blond, ipa, stout, porter, golden, and an alt. All pretty subpar. Haven’t been too impressed with any of their brew. |

April 9, 2008 Nice brewpub... I was a little disappointed with the selection of beers as their website shows many beers but when i went all they had were 6, including Santa’s Secret and its April - I just kept wondering how old the batch was. The food and service was good and the beer they did have was about average. |

January 23, 2008 Been here so many times. Beers a pretty standard for a brewpub, but they don’t do much in the way of experimenting. All styles and standard and pretty bland in my opinion. Food is ok, but it sure doesn’t make up for sub-par beer quality. I really wish this place was more exciting, but it just aint. |

December 19, 2007 Service was slow and food arrived cold. The server had no idea what the differences in the beers were. Since they are made in-house, this was unforgivable and there was no printed menu to describe them. This was the worst service I have experienced anywhere in quite a while. I would visit again to be sure this wasn’t a one-time fiasco, but I would not make a special trip. |

July 31, 2007 I love the atmosphere here. The bar is extremely close to un-enclosed fermenters, which were bubbling away while I was there. Quiet and comfortable in general, though I visited in summer, so I don’t know how it gets when school is in. I’m not much a fan of their beers, though. |

March 12, 2007 Was here about a month back for a bite and some brews. UNC’s women were playing Duke. Decent selection. I just wish I didn’t order the Aniversary Ale and instead got the porter. Overall a unique place with good eats and drinks. |
