A fairly small store, but a great selection of regionals and imports. Mike is about as friendly and knowledgeable as he could be, completely willing to gab at length about all things beer. And he is not shy to offer suggestions and opinions, both about what to buy and what to avoid. A wonderful guy who knows his beer. Prices are ok, and he insisted on including a free glass at the end. Brawleys is a must-stop in the Charlotte area.

almost drove by this place even though we were looking for it. excellent, friendly service with both Illini08 and myself getting a free glass. the place was steadily busy the entire time we browsed around. worth a visit if you’re in Charlotte.

Very cool little converted gas station - easy to miss if you aren’t specifically looking for it. Great selection and the owner was very enthusiastic and eager to help. Really nice place.

The owner was in when I stopped by (and his dog). The selection of beer was excellent. The service was top notch. The owner had an in depth knowledge (i.e. beer geek) of the beer in his store, and beer in general. Had some great recommendations. The free glass at the end was a definate plus. I will visit this place any time I’m around charlottle. A+

Great place that has friendly and knowledgable service from the owner’s Mom and a dog. Being from the south and loving beer, I would like to live in this store. The bottles must number more than 500 now and are all available in singles at fair prices. I can’t imagine a better selection in the Charlotte metro area, and recommend stopping in if your within a half hour’s drive.

Best place in Charlotte to get the hard to find microbrews and imports. I don’t know why I’ve never gotten a glass, as I have spent plenty. Sounds like if you have to ask Mike lots of questions he has pity on you and gives you a free glass. I of course have never had the need to ask what I should get, since I know what is good and what I want. Some of the prices are a bit high, but some of their selection is not easy to come by. If you can only stop at one store in Charlotte this is the one.

Nice little place. Looks like a convenience store turned beer/wine specialty shop (with more beer than wine) and done well. Good selection of domestics and imports. Decent selection of singles available as well. Laid back atmosphere. The owner was out of town so his mother was running the register with the dog sleeping in the corner. It really seems like they try to work with the customer and even gave me a free glass for stopping by. They advertise best selection within 150 miles and I wouldn’t argue that.

Wow..for the square footage the selection is great. Cold singles of even one-offs of specialty beers. Prices are better than the national chains. The owner’s mother was running the store that day. Wow.. what a mom. She was the best retail associate I’ve delt with..well ever. Dude, you have a sweet mom. Being from out of town I got to select a free piece of glassware. I will go there from now on. The selection was the best brews from the best breweries. The owner won’t sell it if he hasn’t tried it, and it is better than what he already has.

Nice shop focusing on beers and wine. Selection is good for what’s available in Charlotte and NC. Prices are in line for what’s offered. Very nice and helpful staff. I stopped by to pick up some stuff not available in GA. I guess I bought enough, so I was given my choice of glassware. Very nice. Will return when in the area.
