Visited here in March and purchased the sampler which came with Carolina Light, Carolina Blonde, Strawberry Ale, Cottonwood Endo IPA, Cottonwood Lowdown Brown Ale, Cottonwood Irish Style Red, Cottonwood American Wheat Ale, Cottonwood Frostbite, and Cottonwood Almond Stout. Honestly, none of the beers were exceptional to the point where I would want to order again, but all were fairly solid. The food here has to be the big draw, as it is kinda a gourmet country fusion. Interesting, to say the least. The entrees can be a bit on the high end even for lunch. However, they serve more food than most can eat in two settings. We split the Hash Fried Chicken with mac and cheese, collard greens and onion rings, and we had food left to take home. We enjoyed the visit.

I was surprised to see 10 different beers from the Carolina beer company on the menu. I though a lot of these were only seasonal until this point. I think some of the Cottonwood lineup is pretty tasty, the Endo is certainly better fresh on tap. Our server was very efficient and extremely polite and helpful. Ambiance is cozy and dim. The rennovation since the Southend days have all been for the better. The food was spectacular. I had the shrimp and grits, the lady had a wood-fired chicken pizza with sweet potato brulee for dessert. It’s not exactly cheap, but I found the quality to be well worth the buck. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit.
