timsilvia32 | Visited week of Memorial day 08. Nice building, has a windmill that they supposedly get their power from. Has some old school video games and foosball. Enough TVs, watched the Pistons this night. Beers were good, service was excellent. Wish they would have had more of their offerings available. I’m guessing most things on this island are a busy on the weekend dead during the weak, so they are probably set up with that in mind.

The_Beer_God | First visit here. Went on Friday, June 13th. Had dinner and sampled all of their beers. Service was very efficient. Ordered the bratwurst platter and though done well enough, was kind of small for the price. The beers were all well done and tasty enough. They had six on, and I got through them all over the course of the evening. Went left when the DJ started up. Will definitely go back.

arventresca | Didn’t try the food, except some chips and salsa. Beer was good and service was good. Many home brews to chose from brewed right there. A must if you are at this part of the country.

hogan873 | Great brewery/restaurant. Very relaxed atmosphere even when very busy. Beer selection is pretty good...usually 5 to 6 on draft (they’re all their own). Service is always very good. The wait staff and bartenders know their beer. I had a chat with one of the owners. Real personable and quite knowledgable when it comes to beer. Food is excellent. Great selection of seafood, burgers, and the like. My parents live within walking distance...I need to visit them more!

keepersj12 | Stopped here with the family last week while on vacation. They had 5 of their beers plus an Allagash White from Maine. The special was a Belgian Strong that was very nice. The others ranged from lighter to stout. All were very good as was the White. No I didn’t drink them all, I split them with my kids. We stuck to bar food which was pretty good. The service was good and the waitress seemed to know her beer and not bad to look at I might add. When on the Outer Banks, I would recommend this place.

OldGrowth | Very near the Wright Brother memorial. Interesting place. Two story inside. When you walk in Bar is on your immediate right, tables on left & further down on the end of the bar. I didn’t get upstairs to look around. We stopped in, group of 9, around 1230/100pm. Somewhat busy. Waitress handled our group fairly well. Beers on were Olsch, Hefe, Pale ale, Mai bock, Porter and Titanic Strong Ale (a belgian strong ale) Food menu is good. Burgers, sandwiches, seafood. I had the eggplant sandwich. Very tasty. I see a busy band schedule. Stage is up toward the highway side of the building. Looked like an interesting mix of music, rock, reggae, blues. Growler prices are high. 20 bucks first time, 15 bucks for refill, but it is a custom growlers with swingtop, so you could use it for homebrew I suppose. Funny as I was getting some growlers to go a patron of the bar saw them and said, "what’s that wine?" he had a budweiser in front of him.

DrBayern | My first visit here, but if I return to the Outer Banks, I’ll be back. Service was efficeint and very friendly, although I was there in the middle of the afternoon and it wasn’t very busy. I would be interested to see what it was like on a weekend evening. I had four different beers, and they were all drinkable and reasonalbelyu good. The stout was particulary worthwhile. All in all, the beers were a notch above most of the brewpub beers that I’ve had. Can’t really comment much on the food, because all I had were wings, although they were excellent. Definitely worth a visit if you’re visiting the area. Like several of the other reviewers, I would recommend it over the Weeping Radish in Manteo.

Kinz | Been here a couple of times now, the beer and the food are consistently good, as is the service. This last time we were there early afternoon, so just had some chips & dip and a few shrimp rolls, all quite tasty. Their six taps were all going, with the standard amberish beer, porter/stoutish beer, bitter, and then whatever they feel like experimenting with. This time around the unique brew were a sorghum and molasses porter and a lemongrass wheat. All tasty, and frankly this is a must stop if you are a beer geek in the OBX. One more thing about the beers - most of them are designed as session types as opposed to beers to blow you away. But they are always well done, which isn’t a bad thing at all.

Scubatrip | A nice little brewpub in the Outer Banks. They only have six beers at a time on tap, and they’re not bad. The place gets a higher rating in part because it’s one of the only places out here to get non-macro beers on tap. The beers so far aren’t much to write home about, but they’re good enough to keep me going back. But it is a cool place, chill on most weeknights for a few quiet beers, and it gets busy on weekends. I haven’t had their food yet, but people say it’s pretty good.
