Good place to eat, but VERY expensive. They serve beer in frosted glasses, and don’t really know much about what they serve. The food is good at least, but you can get better seafood for a lot less.

If Germany has beer halls, New England has fish halls (but as restaurants, yeah, that’s it). And one is in Raleigh. Great dining hall atmosphere. Surprisigly large and impressive tap and bottle selection.

Not only is this place the best restaurant in Raleigh, they have an excellent beer selection. Usually about 12-15 choices on tap and tons of bottled selections. If you like oysters, you are in the right place!

Killer seafood. Lobster bisque is to die for. Decent beer selection in the bottle, average on tap. Pint glasses are heavy and thick quality glasses and I have a couple at home that I treasure. Live music on the weekend near the bar and a large restaurant. This is a restaurant with a bar. Not the other way around. Nonetheless this is one of my favorite places in Raleigh. Again, and I cannot state this loudly enough.....Killer seafood.

This place had been in Raleigh since the thirties. Surprisingly good selction of bottled and draft beer, especially for North Carolina. I practically fell out of my chair when I saw that they had Duck Rabbit Russian Imperial Stout on draught, as it’s been unavailable anywhere in bottles for over two months. I had to confirm with the waitress that it was indeed the Impy before she brought to the table - it was. Service was cheerful and courteous. This palce has a wonderful atmosphere, and good seafood menu.

This place is a gem for beer lovers who like seafood. 12 tap beers that rotate quite a bit. These include a mixture of North Carolina microbrews and others from around the country. Tonight I tried Allagash Double and Brooklyn Monster. The food is excellent and the staff are very attentive and knowledgable.
