pineybob (9), MYSTIC ISLANDS, New Jersey does not count - explanation | | November 29, 2008 what a find!! Was on one fo many trips and was looking for something other than Budweiser (YUCK) and the hotel suggested happy Harry’s!
What a nice selection of everything. Beer, wine, spirits. I found out it’s one of the top rated liquor stores in the country.
Lot’s and lots of Microbrews and a more than ample selection of Belgians. | rpheld (1), Fargo, North Dakota does not count - explanation | | May 30, 2008 Biggest selection of craft beer and imports in Fargo. Nearly every beer earns a spot in the enormous wall of coolers, only a small selection has to sit on the shelf. | | tytoanderso (27), St. Louis Park, Minnesota | | November 24, 2007 Absolutely the best place to find beer in Fargo. Decent mix and match 6pk selection. Not too much in the way of imports: Saison Dupont, Delerium, Plank (!). Most Bell’s, Avery, Rogue... Found 07 Bourbon County Stout. Although I didn’t deal directly with any employees, I overheard one telling a customer that Arcadia Coco Loco was a very hoppy beer?!? If you find yourself in Fargo, this is by far and away the place to buy good beer. | coopermrkn (1), Minnesota does not count - explanation | | September 22, 2007 Wow, this place is cool. Yeah, on the outside it looks like a barn, and the inside is just a liquor store. But there is a HUGE selection of alcoholic products. The staff was prompt and very helpful. | | mdi (15), | | December 17, 2005 Place looks like a barn from the outside. Inside it looks like a typical liquor superstore. Lots of wine taking the main stage. Beers are to the back, mostly in coolers. I’d like to see the micros and imports in coolers together instead of at opposite ends of the store, but that’s getting picky I suppose. Selection was better than I had hoped, actually it might have been better than anything in Nebraska. Bell’s regulars and some specials, Big sky, Rogue 22s, Goose Island, anchor(no OSA though??), sierra, ect...imports were solid on the MdV(ayinger and trappists), B. United(Nora, De Dolle) & V&D(I scored a case of Dupont’s Avec!). Case discount on Belgian beers of 12%, not sure if it applies to other beers or not. Staff was helpful as they were able to retrieve me the case of Avec I requested, then proceeded to ask me "is this good? I’ve only had Blue Moon for Belgian beer" so maybe not so knowledgable, at least this guy, but all I require is the ability to_find_the beer in the back. The place to go for package stores in Fargo. | mybrainhurts (1), North Dakota does not count - explanation | | June 19, 2005 This is THE place to go in Fargo if you are looking for a decent selection of beer. They primarily focus on wines, however they have a fair craft beer, british, and belgian ale section. They also have a pretty nice selection of pint and other drinking glasses. It is a well lit and clean establishment. The staff is nice and Brian the manager is very helpful. If you land yourself in Fargo give Happy Harry’s a try! | | PorterPounder (161), Tallahassee, Florida | | May 20, 2004 Visited here while on my way from North Dakota to Minnesota - only reason I stopped is because I saw it listed on another website. Had a good selection of Midwestern beers and a few usually unobtainable Rogues (Smoke and Mexicali). Also enjoyed the discount cart that had a few gems such as Sprecher Hefe Weiss in it. The staff seemed friendly and the place was very orderly and clean and the staff was friendly. If you happen to find yourself in Fargo, North Dakota - stop by and pick up a bottle or two.
| | howie (18), DeForest, Wisconsin | | February 11, 2004 Had to get a North Dakota place out here... Two stores in Fargo and two in Grand Forks. I'm only familiar with the Fargo store on 45th. Huge store with emphasis on wines, but a decent selection of well-stored beers, too. Also a large cigar selection. |
